He's consistently been a liability. Has been from day 1.

He finds ways to be effective by breaking up 2-on-1's, and that pairing started to find some strong consistency the past 10 or so games before the last two, but the past two games were very similar to the first 15-20 for him: Not good.

I think he will regain composure along with the rest of the team.
 
Aside from goaltending our bottom 6 really blew this one, in a terrible game our top 6 all come out +2 or better. Boyd has been terrible, Vesey is still just....there, Spezz has no support

I think losing those games against Vancouver and
Jets really did cost them their confidence and momentum. Also the game plan changed with Matthew’s hurt wrist. Also I feel like players lost their focus and confidence in their own goalie. I am not trying to make excuses but I feel this team unfortunately is back to the Leafs of old. This is what I have noticed. I agree our 40million players need to step it up. These last 2 games they have really sucked. Also Holl and dermott just sucks out there. We should have traded Holl and kept Lehtonen. What is Dubas thinking?

Yeah it is the right adaptation. I guess a next step would be to have the rest unit play for the whistle with purpose. Long flowing shifts with on the fly line changes wont help.

I liked the thinking, I like that he tried.
 
Dubas need to really shake up the team. You probably can't trade a core player like Nylander, Tavares, Matthews or Marner but you can trade Andersen and that would shock this team pretty good.

The bottom line is Andersen is not a playoff goalie never has and you can't bring him back next year so cut bait now and shock the team. Andersen is popular in the dressing room so this will sting and guys will finally understand.

Bring in a guy to compete with Campbell for the rest of the season even if he is signed for next year. You protect Campbell and leave the other guy exposed and if Seattle takes the other guy so be it you weren't having Anderson back anyway and losing a goalie

I would package Dermott, Andersen, and parts. Go get Rinne and Ekholm

A lot of things not to like in this one. They’re going to have to trust some other players with the goalie out. They were so gassed they couldn’t handle the puck.

Leafs must lead the league in missing the net.

Don’t run hutch... ever again
Pray Campbell comes back by next game or run Andersen until he does
Play him until either: a) b2b, or b) two losses in a row

time for keefe to put AM/WN and JT/MM back together
AM is not even close to the same player as he was before his injury. Doesn’t shoot and passes away most opportunities, get nylander on his wing and get him to shot more and maybe that line starts scoring
JT has been bad, but also pretty unlucky, get him with our best playmaker in Mitch and try and get Tavares going
3rd line center is an issue, that line looks dominant with Hyman, but bad with kerfoot. Need a player who fits there

Holl, I really hope for his sake and the teams, this is just a bad stretch, but he has looked absolutely trash the last couple games, he needs to get his head out of his ass and realize he isn’t Rielly, he makes way too many turnovers and that pinch on the 2nd goal specifically was moronic, his toolset isn’t good for an offensively-oriented defender

Dermott, he really does sadden me, I really thought he’d take the next step this year, but we’ve said that every year about him. He just doesn’t make smart plays, and his offensive game is non-existent. He always gets himself into trouble and try’s to give the puck to bogosian to bail him out, rather often recently it hasn’t worked

Such a great feeling to want to puke no matter which goalie goes in.

Puked a little because Hutchinson was in net. Then puked a little more when Andersen came in.

Where are you Jack Campbell :(

I watched him read out that message yesterday-even that was slow and in a monotone style.

I think Ottawa missed the net on better chances. Good thing with our goalies.
 
Too little, too late, bad loss!

Holl needs to just play defense instead of thinking he's Bobby Orr.
 
Hey, it wasn't a good game obviously, but the house isn't on fire.

The Leafs have been off in one way or another the past two weeks; either getting unlucky or missing nets or making their own bad luck through poor defensive play and giveaways and some shoddy goaltending. It happens. Would rather it be now than in the first round, so everyone just SIMMER DOWN NOW, and just take a chill pill, and we'll be fine in a week.

S*#* happens.

He out there sire. Not always going to get the win, but a 13-6-2 is a hard evidense on the roll baby. :clap: Sometime andy letting in some, sometime cool. He ain't the best gezoalie in the league for certainly. Campbell will make us so much stronger, the man is all man that one. Yesssirrrppp.
And uh, Andy sometime be that cool cucumber too, but he ain't the realest one for surely. He like has to be better sometime too. But he can't win all of them games. Only some gezames. For real man.
