Post-Game Talk: Leafs Lose 4-3

This is not a cup contender. Looks like the old entitlement club might be back.

The window for this team to win a cup is GONE!!!. Signing 91 is now looking like disaster. Wonder why Lou really did get outa town. And trade 44 . Braindead. Best D man right now are Holl and Brodie.

For what its worth, I dont give a shit about finishing in first place. Presidents trophy is a curse. And home ice is irrelevant. I just need them to play better

The Leafs goaltending is a big concern going forward. If it doesn't miraculously fix itself coming out of the break our chances of being serious contenders will be severely limited.

We're like an airplane that is in mid flight and suddenly realize we may not have landing equipment.

4o million dollar offense cannot get it done.

Right on Cue to "blame goalie"

this team aint gonna get anything done in the playoffs either. big money players cannot score when it matters most

PK is a freakin JOKE

keep missing defensive assignments and blame goalies

Leafs offense currently leads the league in goals scored.

Which big money players?

I am a guy who lives or dies with critical business decisions, but I was aboard signing Tavares. So I cannot join the we are screwed gang.

It wouldn't be right I was Steve Dangle happy we signed him And covid? flat cap, ugh. Who saw the entire population of the world, wearing face masks when Dubas signed Tavares? I sure didn't.

Pre covid, still think it was a good move

I agree, I was at a cottage that Canada weekend just crushing beers and trying to get updates with crappy wifi constantly checking Twitter if we signed JT. Most of us at the cottage were leaf fans and were just so pumped. But in hindsight, he’s not even close to the player I thought we were getting. He seems to get worse as he ages, as opposed to guys like Marchand and Bergeron who almost got better in their early 30’s.

Andersen was so treal since coming in. Like .929% and 26 saves on a hard situation where our team sucked ass.
Our team gotta want it more and harder.

Getting Campbell back gon be SO REAL TOO! We all love HIS gezame. He a battler for real. I would like to see a domination game by tavares once more. Hasn't happened in a long while. And he's our capitano numba uno. For life. For years to come. Dominate some and then donate some. I loves that.

Probably not, but I wanted to face the 4th place team that I don't think will be very good. The 4th place team in this division probably does not make the playoffs in a normal season.

If the Leafs had steamrolled this division and won it by 20+ points, would a single person on this board be any less nervous heading into the playoffs?

I had to like this just for your positive attitude. I don't believe it. But I like the consistency.

Holl has sucked lately

Holl and Muzzin have both been bad and even Brodie has been shaky the last two.

Muzzin, I give a pass since he's wearing an Itech fishbowl, but I am keeping an eye on if his game is starting to slip. Holl has been a mess since the Edmonton series.

Complete choke show. That was not the game plan when you force everything. Everything was forced. Quite a bit out of sync and putting pressure on yourself and frustration combined gets this type of effort.
Thats on Andersen again. He shredded this team’s confidence.

Dubas is on the clock here right now to get us a goalie.

The end makes me think they could have gotten at least a point out of it if they had played just a little harder and better in the first 55 minutes. They played complacent, sloppy and uninspired for the most part, with a lot of bad defensive breakdowns and little offensive thrust.

I am really getting tired of losing...

Hmm, honestly thought it was one of Brodie's worst 3 games this season. He wasn't great last night either. Before that, you'd have to go back to game 1 or 2 of the season to find the last time I thought 78 had a shaky game.

Yeah really Brodie was awful tonight. Muzzin also struggled badly. It would help to have a third pair that can actually handle ~18 minutes in games like this.
