I think we’re getting real close to a new coach. If we lose tomorrow to Dubas’ Penguins that could very well spell the end.

There are lots of issues but only a few things we can actually change. Keefe is top of the list.
How was coaching the problem today?

There is no magic bullet. Just hope Tre realizes it and treads carefully. Dubas would have fixed his mistakes already and cost us our 1st . Lol.
Remember when the Raptors made that big trade to change the chemistry of the team and bring in Kawhi? I'd love to see something like that happen now.

Barring any kind of magic 10 man Gilmore style trade where we get all the good pieces and Calgary gets our throw aways.

That's the question isn't it?

If a coach doesn't matter does it matter who is the coach?
I can't tell if the system is at fault when the players suck. Today Sammy couldn't save a beach ball if it were blocker side. What part of the system do you think sucks?

Keefe isnt getting fired tomorrow night no matter what the outcome. Coaches don't get fired after a 2-1-1 road trip where half of it was overseas.

Need to split up Marner from Matthews. I like the second line as is so I wouldn't mind putting Jarny with Knies and Matthews. Makes Matthews actually have to play to his capabilities. Marner and Domi had chemistry in the OHL and Robertson can let it rip.
I am really getting sick of sooo much talent with soooo little effort and soooo little concern, but yet soooo much money.

I'm starting to think his wedding and all the planning and events leading up to it threw off his usual off-season routine and his game is suffering for it. Not saying he shouldn't have gotten married or anything like that, but it's hard to deny he's off his mojo right now.
I think this is spot on. I have even noticed a little double chin that I haven’t seen before.

how many players get married in the off season and turn out fine. I feel like we always have an excuse for these guys when they are under performing. What they go through other NHL players go through.
When they under perform it’s a reason not an excuse. We don’t know what that reason is.

He played a great game overall but Robertson deserves an assist on that Chicago game winner. His defensive zone coverage in overtime was atrocious. He kept getting in the way of his own teammates.
Didn't see the game, just the highlight package and saw Nick and Domi out on the ice together in OT. I asks myself, self, WTF are they doing out there? Were the big boys that bad?

Why would you blame Knies?
That’s what I was wondering too. Suggesting they are not meshing with Knies kind of puts the blame on him.
They have had winger after winger. Maybe it’s time for them to have a more consistent impact and make the winger better or be split up

Why would that put the blame on him?
It’s a combination of the 3 of them.

The part that refuses to change the lines when you can see your team struggling. I don't think I've seen Matthews split away from Marner since babcock was fired

OT winner was a very weird/bad bounce, but goals 1 and 2 Sammy HAS to have, and goal 3 was a nice shot but stoppable.

Not saying the team was perfect, but Woll lets in max 1 of the regulation goals, and we win 3-1. Sammy has just been insanely bad this season, don’t see how Keefe can keep playing him.
