Matthews' mad a bad drop pass without a doubt, but he did recover in transition and was in position. 3 on 3 is wide open though so Killorn was able to get out in space open for a pass and just threw it on net.

It's like it was too afraid to make mistake or turn the puck over by driving to the net.

Goal is 99% on Murray .. it was awful

What happened to the Leafs OT game?!!!!. I use to be confident that with this team OT is virtually an automatic win

So is the coach not smart enough to teach a simple 3 on 3 strategy or are the players not smart enough to execute a simple 3 on 3 strategy?

With all that room, there is no reason for these low % pass attempts....yet once again here we are

Murray has to have that this is on him because of that OT goal.

It shouldn't be on him because the boys played like idiots tonight.

But that OT goal was bad enough that now it's on Murray.

That CAN NOT go in

There was another softie too but the OT goal was pathetic
Disagree....Tampa is a very good tram and they lost in fake overtime. Shootout and 3 on 3 is not used in playoffs.

It was a good game and we probably deserve a better outcome. Murray’s allowed to have a stinker I suppose, he’s been holding us in a lot of games lately.

Tampa is a very lucky team for some reason they get a lot of bounces go their way

He did not as of yet…I meant when he does
I mean, are you hoping this is what happens? Or this is just your opinion? Or do you just feel like stirring the pot on a regular basis?

Kind of funny we hear that Sandin needs to replace Rielly on PP1, and the PP slumps when Rielly is out.
Not criticizing Sandin, but Rielly is needed on that unit even if it's tough to see at times

It's no coincidence a heavy tampa team made it difficult for a very small d-core who had a difficult time breaking up a cycle or pushing bodies off pucks.

You'd think the Leafs would just try to go to the net in a hurry for once.

Hard fought game, lots of emotions and back and forth. But you can't lose these and tell me you've grown. Growth is scoring on the PP to make it 3-1, close it out, beat down Kucherov and take some healthy runs at Vasi. That's growth.
You could easily say growth is tying it up when they could have folded.

What concerns me is the mental block in OT.

Good for Marner. Points in all but 2 games this year. That's pretty amazing.

Nylander had a good game, but November's over and that mustache needs either to go full Tom Selleck or be put on waivers.

Matthews always impresses me with his ability to dog pucks and his defensive play. But he really lacks a killer instinct, drive, and the ability to take over a game like he used to.

Have to wonder if it's over coaching .. 3 on 3 is pond hockey where possession is key but so it pushing the pace for chances. The Leafs had gotten too cute earlier int he season leading to bad turnovers, when they should have playing more north-south.

Keefe seems to be directing them to be smart with possession but that's too cautious to be successful.

I don't disagree with you, but you saw the refereeing tonight what do you think would happen if the Leafs really brought it and played big boy hockey?

The Leafs don't really have a true "Big Boy" game, so it's a moot point to me. Usually in the flow of a hockey game, if the goonier team sets the tone and can take liberties, cheap shots and agitate after the whistle, the other team that gets drawn into that conflict is going to struggle with undisciplined retaliations. Vs the Lightning, we're the team that's playing catch up.

If the Leafs want to beat the Lightning, I think they almost have to go the opposite way and play a no emotion all possession game and try to exploit with speed. Don't hit them, don't wake up their stars, don't really engage.

Other than that, as a fan, I just want to see Kucherov get his lunch fed to him and Ross Colton get blasted.

And why is it that they avoid that type of game?

Couldn't be that when the goonery starts happening, it's only one team that goes to box, is it?

Hilarious that you think he'll even get a warning for his dirty hit, let alone a fine for embellishment.
Was the color commentary calling for immediate suspension or does that only count for Leafs players?
