Honestly, the boys have killed it recently with all the shit that's happened. They came in today, played hard against a rebounding Tampa, some bullshit calls and got a point. I'm happy.

Even matthews stinker at the end, they got back and Murray let in a fluffer, just made the wrong read. Normally that would have been a breakaway.

I'm good, move on to the next game, everything is still good.

Yeah, a sensible post in this thread.

My biggest problem with @Teeder Keon is he's been cheapening the impact of the Jim Hughson tears meme he created lately by extending it to other people/players. Stay focused Teeder!

Deadly focused 😜🤪🤭😉

6 OT Losses. Brutal for not even been through half the season. Wonder if those missed points will make a difference at the end of the season. We shall see.

Why does Dubas pay so much money for so much suck?
Cap wise the only bad spends on the leafs at this point are Engvall and Kerf. Having as much as we do tied into the big 3 hurts a bit especially when we could use some proper depth. But something needs to be done about Kerfoot and Engvall.

How Engvall has gotten a pass to this point makes very little sense to me.

What exactly did they practice in their 3v3 sessions?

How can you be so bloody stupid?

No sense of urgency or killer instinct...when you have the puck, you literally need to take the initiative with all that space in OT...drive the net and try to score, instead of playing small ball.

I don't think I've seen a team dive more than tampa

You almost want to just build a team full of Tom Wilson's who do nothing but give them something real to cry about.

Kucherov has the temperament of a jerk 10 year old when he plays hockey. Just pissing and moaning and bad body language and diving and cheap shots.

Probably will cost them home ice advantage

It's mental at this point though .. they just need to break through the slump in OT.

It's really too bad the officials on orders from NY decided to decide the game through very transparent game management.

We had a brief chat earlier about gambling, and my father may he RIP was a gambler. He loved the ponies, cards craps and American football and made his living at it. I asked him once why he never bet hockey, he just looked at me and chuckled.

That lack of burning urgency to really take the play to the opposition is kind of the heart of their lack of killer instinct isn't it? It's a 3 on 3 free skate and you're retreating to the safety of your own goal line, and you think the idea of an attack is multiple drop passes.

Malgin would not have had an impact against a heavy Tampa team. Who do they turn to? I don't know. The team needs some proper muscle and depth in the bottom 6.

Malgin has had an impact against most opponents he has played against. Heavy or otherwise.

He consistently tilts the ice in the Leafs' favour when he is out there, regardless of the amount of time he starts in his own end or who he is playing against. He should never come out of the lineup for Simmonds at this point.

Can't win them all. I thought the Leafs played pretty well but got some tough bounces. With the way they called the game, Hedman should have been in the box to finish the period.

Still got a point though. No biggie.
It's not a biggie at all. Without their top 3 D playing Tampa on the road with some very questionable officiating. Points in 16 out of 17 and 11 in a row.

Looking at the schedule after Brodie and Reilly went down I think I would take these points and run for the hills
