Can't win them all. I thought the Leafs played pretty well but got some tough bounces. With the way they called the game, Hedman should have been in the box to finish the period.

Agreed but when Malgin and Simmonds are your other forwards....f*** man the depth on this team is lacking now. I don't know if there's anyone else down in the A we can bring up but Simmonds legs are gone, that was obvious tonight.

Malgin would not have had an impact against a heavy Tampa team. Who do they turn to? I don't know. The team needs some proper muscle and depth in the bottom 6.

Murray looked pedestrian on that shot. Their 3 on 3 looks tentative, slow and too cute.

Regardless, T.B is quite a despisable team. Just Bush League diving and a soft costitution in order to "win by any means necessary". Refs go along for the ride on calls that even a House League ref would call a dive.

Good news is the top two lines are dominant. 5v5, T.B can't match them Leafs need an identity on their bottom two lines. They need the type of problem/productive lines T.B had when they won their Cups.

He doesn't play special teams and the refs took over the game today.

Also doesn't help that Simmonds makes any line he is on unplayable. He shouldn't be put in any lineup anymore. He doesn't provide physicality (nobody wants to fight him except other goons and he is too slow to hit anyone) and he is a net negative in every other area.

Malgin should be the full time guy in there until Jarnkrok is back, and then we can re-evaluate who should be taken out at that point.

matthews needs to get his f***ing shit together. His play this year is unacceptable for a f***er who wanted the best contract in the league and only 5 years.

Matthews is 100% gone after this season. He will be traded. I take a lot of heat on here every time I say that but I stand by it. He is going to refuse to sign a contract extension and Consequently Toronto will be forced to trade him. The same situation as Tkachuk
