Post-Game Talk: Leafs Lose 4-2

This place isn’t toxic, it’s just full of sensitive fan boys imo, try visiting Philly or Biston’s forums after afew bad fames let alone five decades of ineptitude…….

Fan emotions run hot. It's part of being a fan.

When this place is just lethargic after a loss we will know we have a problem....

Can't say I've watched him closely but Bunkis and McKee both said they loved him on last night's post game show which surprised me a little given what I've read on this board. 44 definitely needs to be gone. Hopefully before the draft.
not really sure how well he's played overall but I do know he's made at least 2 glaringly bad plays that led directly to goals. Like the one against Utah I think where Tavares had his man covered in the slot and Carlo inexplicably decided to cover the same player. Which left the guy standing in the other slot wide open for an easy pass for a goal.

Same here. Not a conscious decision on my part, but for quite some time now I have the game on but am doing other things, I take a look when a goal is scored and maybe watch the last few minutes if that game is close. Last night was one of the few times when I watched the whole game and I can't say I was impressed.

I'm happy for Ottawa though, good to see them on the way up again!
It's good to see you finally admit that you don't really watch the games. Why would you post all day long if you're not qualified to have an opinion?

I'm generally optimistic, but this is a tough spell for sure. I will say this, they tend to figure this stuff out. Right now teams are playing them like it's playoffs, so better that we figure this out now rather than during a 7-game series. All that matters is that we hit our stride going into the playoffs. We have enough games to do that.

I’m at the point of blowing this whole thing up. We ain’t getting out of the first round. Fire Shanahan into the sun and start over again. Try and get as much futures as possible

It's not about losing a game here and there. It's cumulative. And boy is there a lot of accumulation.

If you think the negativity is an overreaction, you haven't been paying attention.
I don't have any issue with being negative. I was more referring to comments about rebuilding after the team loses a couple of games in a row.

All while ignoring that the same pisters have been calling for changes for years, the poster’s you loathe haven’t been impatient, far from it……..

I have been calling for certain changes for years as well. I'm still calling for the team to let Tavares walk. But I also know that it just isn't happening.

Fair enough, although it's hard not to project what happens if they don't make a splash in this year's playoffs.

A rebuild is obviously not in the cards until 2028 at the earliest now. But a Washington style retool might be our only path forward.

Hopefully we won't need to talk about that after a very successful playoff run this year but... It's hard to be optimistic right now.

On a first place team cruising to a division title? Madness
You don’t seem know what cruising to a division title looks like.

I’ve been quite bullish on this season’s version of the Maple Leafs but have to admit that this team’s inability to close the deal and actually earn a division title is beginning to look all too familiar.
