Big top 4 shutdown pair RHD. 6'3" all day long baby.

Keeps the team intact year over year ... expects an improvement
An improvement would be one thing. They look completely horrendous. This is pretty much the same team that put up 115 points. They also have a player that won the MVP and rocket, who looks like a 3rd liner.

This team is bad. That's really all there is to say about that one.

Summary of the season so far:
This puck possession around the outside waiting for the perfect play that never comes and then turning it over while never being dangerous at all game we're playing is truly painful to watch and is not working.

The Leafs have done this for years when down multiple goals late and the goalie pulled. They're slinging it around like it's a first period powerplay, completely unaware that the other team is more than fine to let us kill clock.

Time has shown Babs was right to demand more out of the players and not just gift them ice time.

He knew that as a coach in the NHL the only leverage you have with pro athletes is ice time, and he worked to make it something players had to earn through good habits/playing the right way.

Keefe gives it no matter how players play. Which is the easy way out and great in the short-term because the players are happy.

Samsonov and Tavares played well.

Not much else.

This is not a very good team. They will play a little better than this as the season goes on, but they are not cup contenders.

Tavares' skating looks really good and I feel good seeing Samsonov get traction in his bid to be our goalie of the future.

Beyond that you kind of just want to nuke the whole thing back to 2015.

These signings have done absolutely nothing to prove they want to play here (other than Mete). We need a spark plug; I don't see one on this team.

People who say the Leafs don't have a goal scoring problem, THIS IS WHY they do. On paper they should be killing it, but in reality they're inconsistent and generally can't score in the clutch as often as other teams do.

Also hope Liljegren can come back and make a big impact because we need him to come up big to help this pretty substandard defense so far except for Gio who has looked good most of the time. Sandin needs to work on his defense and get abit stronger too.

what? babcock was notorious for gifting ice time just to all the bad players

That was a cold miserable game. So glad I had a bottle of D'usse VSOP Cognac to keep me good. Punches way higher than the price point.

Fire Keefe and Dubas already. What's the wait for.

It's crazy that Tavares was the guy i couldn't stand to watch the last couple of years and this year he stands out as the best player.

Not sure if it's because of JT getting a step quicker in the offseason (he now looks average speed instead of the slowest in the league) or the rest of the team just being lazy af around him.
