At what point do you evaluate if this core is worth it

Matthews showing that drafting a “generational” talent means Jack shit

Interested to see what happens. This is the play thay gets your coach fired, but its also the play that shakes up your core

I mean last year, despite the slow start, they were at least solid defensively and just having some tough puck luck.

This year just looks sloppy and the stars aren't performing consistently enough.

Matthews has an Art Ross/Hart hangover, and Marner hasn't been much better. Nylander and Tavares have at least done something this year.

Kallgren going tomorrow means that's going to be another automatic loss.

I hope they get booed out of Scotiabank area when they get back home.

Tavares is the only player that looks like he gives a shit out there right now

Leafs are in huge trouble and Keefe might be as well

He seems like he’s good at speeches…

‘Alright boys it’s f***ing time to f***ing play, now get out there and f***ing make it f***ing happen, f***!’

But when it comes to actual coaching - the most important part of the job, I mean shit, he was outcoached by Dominique Ducharme for f***s sake!

The players and the system are not working.

How long have they watched Sandin in the minors?

This team is just not good enough, wasn't 4 years, 3 years ago, 2 years, last year and this year.

I really don't know what Dubas, Shanny and the rest of the brain trust see but it's just not built right.

I have a solution to start a REAL rebuild but most here would crucify me if I said it. LOL

I could be wrong on this, but this team is incapable of keeping things simple. I'm all for a cycle/puck-possession offense, but at some point, someone needs to drive to the center of the ice or find an open look from the point and score a dirty goal. They also turn the puck over in the worst spots possible, between Sandin holding the puck for too long with a forechecker right behind him, or when they do those dropback passes that get turned over when they enter the zone, which allows the other team to get a rush chance. I still have faith that this team will find a way out of this rut; I just don't think this team has the habits necessary for sustained success.
