Andersen wasn't the reason they lost this game but clearly Demko was the better starter today. Marner's played like garbage in both games against the nucks and he needs to wake up.

I don't care which goals are Freddy's fault and how much, the guy is just bad luck and I don't want unlucky people on the team even if it's not their fault. None of our other goalies allow back to back goals within a minute of eachother regularly, nor do they let in backbreakers like the last one.

I'm sure they considered it. Maybe it's just one of those nagging injuries you can't fix mid-season. Hopefully nothing serious or we won't be able to do anything in the playoffs.

Hockey - easy one week, tough as a son-of-a-gun the next.

A tough two game stretch in Vancouver, always a step behind, a puck jumping stick, passes just off, energy low. It's hockey.

To those jumping all over Andersen: tap in from the crease, deflection, off a skate, bullet. Blame a guy when he's at fault, don't when he's not.

I am concerned about Matthew's hand/wrist, he's not the same.

Vesey looked good, most everyone else was bad. Sounds like an episode of the Twilight Zone. The one constant, Andersen stinks.

We scored 3 goals in 2 games and people will solely blame Andersen (who wasn't very good, but not our only problem). Matthews has like 2 points in his last 5-6 games, needs to be better or be sitting if he's not healthy still. Top line hasn't been good for a bit now.

Maybe it's because people can recognize that Matthews is the clear mvp of the team, and Andersen has been a distant 3rd best goalie. Obviously one player is going to get a lot more slack for a poor game

Not the worst loss, Demko is the difference.
Leafs deserved at least a point.

The silly over the boards penalty and a little too much contact away from the puck and we lose. Some of our creative players being too creative when a simple North/South approach was needed.

The Leafs should be looking for a player or two come the deadline. This was a playoff style game...we know how these have historically gone...

The team played like crap around him...Rielly should have taken his man Miller instead of staring at the ice...Willy taking a penalty by flipping the puck into the stands for no reason...Marner with that awful back pass giving the Canucks that 3-on-1 and 4th goal.

At least after the 1st game in this set we had the excuse we were on a back to back. Pretty much the same type of game allround tonight. Biggest difference is goaltending in both games.

Nylander cannot takes that penalty when we are up 2-1 in the 3rd. He flinches as if he’s going to get hit and panics. I love Willy Styles but my measure of success for him is how often he is committed, especially in the defensive zone, in taking a hit to make a play. There were definitely other issues out there, but that penalty seemed to totally change the momentum.

Continue to love the play of our 3rd line. They continue to give max effort every shift.

I had it with Andersen. Choker and blows games. We need a intense goalie that keeps his head in games. Injured all the time,chokes. He’s bad Karma. Dubas got some work to do because that was pure garbage letdown goaltending.

i have never said that before. I expect the odd bad goal or lose once in awhile from a flurry of goals. This guy is doing it to frequently now. He has no spirit. F***

I haven't seen us melt down like this with our back ups. Even if we lose with them, the goals usually aren't embarrassing like they are with Freddy.

Leafs allowed 7 shots in the 3rd. Freddy posted a .571 SV. That’s how you lose.

Consistently the second best goalie.

Andersen is a fragile goalie who cant be consistent and make a key save when needed. How can that fourth goal go in from 25 feet out in an angle. This is typical freddy.

we will never win a cup with freddy as out too goalie. In fact we will get bounced again in the first round if we have to go with him in net.

they should have shipped him out last year.

leafs have a habit of waiting to do big changes. Waited too long with Babcock now the same with freddy. We are stuck with him this year when its one of our best chances to win a few rounds.
