I don't care which goals are Freddy's fault and how much, the guy is just bad luck and I don't want unlucky people on the team even if it's not their fault. None of our other goalies allow back to back goals within a minute of eachother regularly, nor do they let in backbreakers like the last one. He's the Jake Gardiner of goalies - I don't care what his numbers are anymore, he's just cursed in important moments.

The ice looked awful, so many odd bounces.

Vancouver played hard and got the bounces.

The Leafs didn’t play that badly overall, special teams was the difference. And they just couldn’t get those bounces.

Some gaffes will look bad but it happens. Need some losses to keep them sharp going forward. And better against the Canucks than the Oilers or Jets next week.

Can’t really blame Andy on those goals.

The Matthews line needs to get that groove back.

Tough to lose both. Felt we were the better team last game, tonight was meh.

Our star players won't always score, but you can't be a liability and that's exactly what Marner was tonight. Rielly struggled, so did Andy.

If the Leafs play like they just did no doubt. Hellebuyck is a much better goalie than Andersen so we can already bet that Andy will be out-goaltended again, as he so often is. If the Leafs can’t kill a penalty Scheifele, Connor, Ehlers, Dubois, and the Jets other weapons are going to absolutely feast on us.

Just a heads up, you can’t blame anything on Andersen. He’s only rocking a sub .910sv% for going on 2 years now but he “bails out the defense” that’s top 5 in GA league-wide despite him being injured. Cannot wait for his time here to be over. You can tell the team plays like they have PTSD in front of this guy.

The Canucks blow so at least the team gets this out of their system before Winnipeg. Luckily the losses this year have come against basement clubs like VAN, OTT, etc.

I thought they would have a swoon after the Edmonton high. Figured they would split with Vancouver and go 1-2 with Winnipeg. Here's to hoping they don't lose 5 in a row.

We better hope Edmonton keeps their playoff spot, because we likely have the second worse (playoff) starter in the division. (Price has been bad, but I think he's better if Montreal makes it.)

Horrible game by Marner (and the whole top line) and really bad penalty by Nylander.

Growing pains. They lost focus and lost the game. Going 0-2 against Vancouver will be a good wake up call to them. They will be more ready and focus against the Jets.

The top line and Nylander’s brain farts in the third sunk the team. Andersen’s not going to really steal a game for you. He’ll find a way to give up that back breaker.

Matthews is not playing well. Completely disjointed on the play and leaving the puck a step behind or ahead when passing and not getting into open scoring lanes. Marner was distributing the puck like trash and forcing too many shots by himself. The drop pass at center to Muzzin was a junior level play. Joe Thornton looks like he’s low on batteries so we likely can’t play him full time on the big line.

Completely lost the plot after dominating Edmonton.

actually good to see the Leafs lose these 2 after shutting down McJesus cause Keefe can stay on them to keep working and quit with those JR moves....yeah you Marner. Once they go away from the structure and get into the fancy passes and JR moves they lose.

Only thing I will give them excuse for 5 in 8 days.

I think Keefe needs to learn a lesson that Babs didn't learn with Hainsey. Give Thornton a game off here and there to keep him fresh for the playoffs.

Well, except for the one boneheaded soft play by Nylander that started the collapse.
 
That’s the second game in a row that they had an open net with the tying goal on the line, and missed/whiffed.

The team was bound to slump at some point. First Edmonton scores and then this.

3 days off so they better he ready for Winnipeg.

They won’t win a game. They may still miss the playoffs at that.
 
Vesey and Spezza had a ton of energy and spark. Let's staple them to the bench and keep playing groups of guys who are tired, hurt and struggling. Zero-ass game management.

Now that everyone thinks the sky is falling leafs will sweep the jets and we’ll be on top of the world again.

The Jets just got destroyed 7-1 so they're not looking any good either. The Leafs are 18-6-2 let's not act like we're trash here lol

If Marner/Matthews keeps playing like this we're in trouble, we need those two to atleast be a threat. Matthews not shooting on the PP is a concern, it's obvious his wrist isn't 100% if he doesn't want to rip it when we have the man advantage
