Post-Game Talk: Leafs Lose 4-2

Tyson Barrie was absolutely pathetic, he's a 4th forward. It boggles my mind we don't have one RHD that plays elite level defensively

That's rather natural though? You're taking an elite player off the roster.

If we look at what you said, that Pittsburgh can't win with Kessel as their best player. Let's replace those two guys with someone like Couturier and Seguin. Kessel from those playoff runs would probably be the best player of them, depending on what you think of Couturier I guess, but I'd say they would definitely have a great chance to win still. Especially if you balance that downgrade with an upgrade elsewhere, to keep the team just as good so the comparison is fair.

Sidenote: Man I can hardly keep up with the quotes right now, and the topics are all over the place. I love it... but it's 5 in the morning and I probably should wind down and get a few hours of sleep at least. I'll have to cut this short here. Good talk.

Remember the wolf like pack mentality (lack thereof) on JT's return to the Island? I've mentioned it before, but I was more upset (and taken back as a fan) of that game than any of our game 7 disasters.

That's when our team showed our true colours.

hahaha you watch Barrie tonight, thats not NHL Caliber by any stretch, he was useless.... you think your funny but your not try again.

the problem is Dubas never played the original "Ice Hockey" on Nintendo.

You couldn't have all skinny fast guys. You needed that one fat bugger to knock out the skinny guys.

If he had only played Nintendo Ice Hockey our problems may have been solved early.

I still think it was poor example because Crosby is the X-factor and there is no way they win with Couturier and Seguin instead.

Leafs forwards are usually not around when the get started. .

Lol, you couldn't be more wrong...

Case in point, I've been one of Mikheyev's more vocal supporters since mid-summer.

I'm thrilled with guys like Moore (American) and Kapanen (finish)... I think Andersen has what it takes to take a team to the cup.

I think Kara is one of our most underrated prospects....

I think highly of our most recent draft picks (liljegren, sandin, robertson, etc).

I can count on one hand how often I've seen them stand up for each other. At least Kadri didn't take anything from anyone and cared out there. It's so frustrating to watch but the problem has to be beyond just the roster. Even players who were on other teams changed their attitudes completely the moment they joined Toronto. When Muzzin came here, he played like the Muzzin of old. Rocked Perry hard, twice I think, and a slapshot bomb to get his first leaf goal. After that he became more like Muffin than Muzzin for the rest of the year, and just seemed to have the same corporate culture 9-5 mentality like the rest of the team. To be fair he's not like that this year but there seems to be a deep rooted problem that extends beyond the players. Culture issue; some of the blame has to fall on the coach and management. A coach should be able to motivate his players I think
