Why would they care? They very recently beat us in the playoffs, hitting a milestone this team hasn’t accomplished since 1967, and despite being low in the standings always beat the Leafs, or at least keep the score respectable. They’ve killed the Leafs a couple of times since that series, Leafs wins have been by the skin of our teeth.

Winning in overtime is skin of teeth is it not?

Collapse to the net, block shots and rely on your goalie to make some saves. The Leafs won't get to the net and will play perimeter hockey. Sooner or later the Leafs will make a mistake and you can capitalize

Montreal has perfected the art form of beating the Leafs. Can’t do anything about it until the Leafs learn to stop playing scared against them or they acquire more scoring talent who will crash the net.

Has there been many games that the Leafs have played the Habs where Anderson hasn't looked good against us? Almost makes you want to trade for him.

Sucks that we lost, but at least the Liljegren/Rielly pairing looked pretty good this game and if they keep playing well and can develop good chemistry maybe this will finally answer the question of who can play with Rielly and compensate for his weaknesses although to his credit Rielly has been playing better recently.

Trading for him is a no brainer. Unfortunately, Dubas had his sights on guys like Malgin

That's silly. It's those 4th line players fault who barely play. Can't be our top 6 shutting down when teams don't let them do whatever they want. That can't be it.

Yes it is, but besides tonight and earlier in the year, the Habs have also beaten the Leafs by multiple goals since ‘21. Last season Montreal beat Toronto 5-2 and 4-2, while Leafs wins were 2-1 and 3-2. You’d think the Leafs would figure out how to score more than three goals past these f***s but nope. Leafs are lucky to get three goals against Montreal.
