I think Shanny boots his ass along with Keefe if we lose Monday.

Like how do you not? Next year is year 6 into this, when is enough, enough.
Won't really matter. All the pieces around this core have moved.

Lose Game 7 and you have to start dumping some of them. With Matthews being the franchise and Tavares NMC, it's basically Mitch or Nylander. I vote Mitch personally.

Defeatism? Are you for real? We haven't won a round in 17 years and have lost do or die games 5 years in a row. GTFOH with that bullcrap. How about this team take the back of the fans for once and win a goddamn series?

"GTFOH", friend, step back from the caffeine, we're all disappointed, it ain't over yet. Thumbs up for game 7. Cheers

Team is soft weak mentality
Embarrasing.

they wint be winning much this yesr even if they win game 7.

First of all LOL at all the guys who were talking like we were already advancing to the 2nd round after the series was 3-1.

It doesn't matter if it's 3-1 or 3-0 these days. That means sh-t. Gone are the days when a team is up 3-1 and they should win it. Many years ago the NHL decided they wanted that predictability gone from the game.. and they got it. How? That's up to you guys to debate. But for sure - gone are the days when a team is winning 3-1 in a series and they are expected to win it. Out the window.

I called this 4 or 5 days ago when the Leafs were up 3-1. That this would go 7 games. Look up my post history for proof. It's a perfect scenario for everyone- the fans, the league. Leafs, Habs, first time playoffs in 50 years.... you think they're going to let this end in 5 games? LOL. No way was this going any less than 7 games.

And of course, the Leafs pour on all the pressure in overtime, only to have the Habs score on an off-chance LOL. How many times have we seen THAT scenario?? I said the predictability in the NHL was gone, but this sort of scenario is becoming so common it is also now becoming predictable- one team storms all of the offence for the first 10 minutes, can't score, then the other teams catches a break and scores on an odd chance. Same old, it's becoming commonplace.

The ONE time in a half-decade that that the two original six franchises clash in the playoffs - and probably the largest showdown in the entire league -- NO WAY are they letting this end in anything less than 7 games lol. No way. 2500 tickets up for grabs in Montreal.. that's when we knew it was going back there in the first place.

Anyways. Game 7? Haha. I called it. The Leafs blow it again

Honestly, if Tavares dresses I don't see a scenario where we win. It's just not what we do.

We're the team who has our hero suffer a career ending injury in his return, not score the GWG
I think that's too pessimistic. I think we'll be fine.

I predicted Leafs in 7 lol

its the most Leafy thing to do is give up a 3-1 series lead.

Any team will give the Leafs a run for their money. Because WE ARE OUR OWN WORST ENEMY.

The Leafs have to find a way to defeat themselves. Defeat their tentativeness and self doubt. Just shoot the puck from anywhere like CAR does

Honestly. We have some nice prospects coming that will help us field a deep team, I actually think the future is bright. However that future has Marner flipped for better pieces and cap space. I think Dubas goes, and I think we need a coach, like a Gallant.

Out of Matthews, Tavares, Nylander and Marner, Marner is the one to trade if it comes to that.

Matthews and JT are bonafide franchise centers. Nylander comes to play in the playoffs and is on a decent contract.

Marner held out for all the money and continues to be a no show when it matters.

Sorry, I didn't mean to be harsh. But there's a fine line between hope/faith and delusion; and usually confusing one for the other is what leads to disappoint. At what point does "defeatism" just because accepting this franchise for what it is until it actually earns the faith of the fans; and lets face it, there is not a more loyal hockey fanbases than leaf fans. It's just sad that loyalty has been a one way street, which it generally is, but at least other teams have given their fan bases something worthy of having faith in. I have no faith in this team come monday, neither should anyone, they've should earn it back.

I'm sorry, but that was the most obvious Coach's Challenge I've ever seen. Toffoli was absolutely interfering with both Brodie AND Campbell, and of course the NHL takes less than 20 seconds to decide that it's good. Contrast with the 8 minutes they spent on the Game 3 goal with Thornton's stick. Anyone doubt they'd already decided to call this one a goal before they even looked upstairs?
There was no chance of that call being overturned.
Campbell just laid on the ice and made no attempt whatsoever to get back into the crease.
He could have sold the call if he had just made an attempt and ran into the Montreal player.
Terrible challenge at that point in the game.

Loved this team with all my heart for 34 years. If they lose game 7—considering throwing all of my Leafs shit in the trash.

I would say wait for a bit. If leafs lost game 7 and dubas isn't fired I will join you in throwing all my leafs memorabilia in the trash too.

if leafs lost game 7 and dubas is fired perhaps there is some hope

I can't imagine the Leafs losing Game 7. I really can't...

* I would not be surprised if JT comes back.
* They will be at home.
* Matthews and Marner are due.
* Toronto's the better team.

Having said that, Price looked like he was in a zone.
If Hyman plays with Mathews and Marner don’t expect anything. They’ve done nothing in 6 games and it’s likely not going to change. Just hope we get production from the other lines and Campbell is better than Price.

They did have the one big game.

I figure they're due.

The problem with this team?? The GM. Plain and simple. He signed/added players to this roster that can not/would not hit. This team was lacking toughness before he got here. For anyone looking at this roster, it is so easy to see the problem. Of all the players added since Dubas came on board, only two can dish it out or take it. Foligno, and Simmons. Don't believe me Watch game 6 again. Worse, there is no one waiting in the wings that can give/take one either.

We actually have a good supporting cast. What more can you ask out of guys like Hyman, Spezza, Campbell, Bogosian, and guys like that? Even Nylander stepped it up and Kerfoot has played well. Our core 2 guys are just not big game players. Our coach also thinks he’s playing Xbox.

If anyone can watch this series and want to keep Marner over Nylander they have to be some of the dumbest individuals ever.
