I don't think Shanny turfs Dubie. Just because he is a young executive and they spent a lot of time grooming him. If he is stubborn and says I am not trading any of the core, THEN you fire him.

For sure. Even the great McDavid was a no show in the playoffs. Some players win when it counts, some players are regular season heros.

It has to hurt for all the depth guys like Kerfoot and Spezza and the D like Muzzin and Brodie watch the star guys just coast through the playoffs while they motor their asses off

I'd dump them both. Marner stole KD's shorts and Nylander can shoot the puck but shies away from the boards and explodes when someone touches him. And if we're dumping useless people, send the coach and gm with them.

If the Leafs lose next game, I think Shanny's going to go to the Board and get on his knees to beg for one more year for Dubas...and I'm being honest.

The second line of Galchenyuk-Kerfoot-Nylander has to be re-assembled for Game 7. Can't fathom why is was broken up in the first place. Then it was just left together with Foligno centering when it was obvious it wasn't working. Foligno coming in cold and playing hurt. Absolute terrible decision making with the lineup. Foligno could have slotted in on the third line if he was set to play.

Coaching just shooting the team in the foot with decisions like that. Not to mention a PP that hasn't worked in MONTHS. Why does this organization always make things harder than they need to be? Babcock did it. Now Keefe is pulling the same antics.
 
My only complaint with Campbell is that he gets out of position when there is a scramble. He slides around in there and it ends up going in. How many times have we seen that happen.

Otherwise he has been solid.

Lol if Nylander shies away from contact so much why is he the best player this series?

If they get eliminated on a lucky bounce for Montreal yes. I'm not making an excuse. It happens. Had they done their job in regulation then there would be no need for anybody to worry about a lucky bounce in OT.
 
It is tiresome listening to so many of you rip Mitch Marner. He played his heart out in this game 6. If there is a big ticket player to be traded, it is Matthews. We can fetch a bigger prize with his trade. It is not his fault his GM mismanaged the cap. But after Monday's exit from these playoffs, it is time to shop around for value.

What gives you hope they will win? I really do hope they win and make me eat shit, but over the past few years they’ve shown they can’t do that. I know the past in this situation isn’t a good indicator of the future, but the stars aren’t delivering, do you think they just flip a switch and become good somehow? I hope they do, but being realistic, they probably won’t, they’ve been shutdown for 6 games, why won’t the habs do it for 7. Otherwise you gotta pray Campbell pitches a shutout and the depth comes clutch again, which could happen, but also seems unlikely.
