Post-Game Talk: Leafs Lose 3-2 in OT

Hey Leafs, Hab here.

You guys have the better team overall but some things I've noticed and I was hoping for a bit of opinions....

1) Habs start hitting and basically your little guys shut down, do you agree ? (Spezza has been a beauty for you)
2) What is up with Auston M? I cannot tell if our offensive black hole Phil Danault is doing a good job against him or its more just Austin not playing well?
3) Why just Joe Thorton on the PP ?
4) Price is making huge saves, but even tonight's game, leafs nearly had about 5 goals on top of the two they scored that were just a few cm's from going in etc. ( just a statement)

I still think you guys can easily win game 7 however those game 7 games, they don't bode well for ya.

Anyways, its been entertaining series to say the least.

taped game again, just caught up....

This team is very frustrating, I thought foligno would help them be a little more physicslly and mentally strong but still seems like a struggle.

Idk how you struggle to wake up for this game, fans there ... good atmosphere, trying to avoid price in game 7. Kinda reminds me of the perry getzlaf Kesler ducks.... who struggled winning game 7s... the difference being I think the ducks stars were good majority of the series, it was more just a game 7 thing.... leafs stars kinda struggle the whole series.

Hopefully they come out fast in game 7.... I feel like dropping game 7 is going to force dubas to do something he doesn’t want to do

LOL what? If Campbell were Montreal’s goalie the Leafs would’ve won that game. Price made several big time saves at key moments because he is a big time goalie.

Bang on. There were a handful of games this year where they were nowhere to be found for 40 minutes and then decided to show up late in the 3rd and win the game.

You can't do that shit in the playoffs.

McAuley and Roberts literally took care of business. Heart is skill and it’s insanely undervalued by the leafs organization

Honestly the OT winner tonight was a nothing play, not unlike Galchenyuk. Dermott has always had the yips retrieving pucks, it's why he wasn't in the lineup initially. It's not about keeping possession, especially tonight, just a flawed player showing his warts

The thing is, Dermott got the puck under control...it's only after he spun around that he lost it...tried a fancy possession play when there was no need for it...there were 3 Leafs up the ice on his side of the ice that he could chip it to.

Because his head doesn't move as fast as his body and it costs him. It's not new. A simple the back and D to D gets us out with no issue. He just didn't sync up

I just keep sitting and waiting for this team to grow the hell up and show some mental fortitude, passion, and resilience...and it never ever happens. I think they are focused and execute much better than previous iterations but they simply lack passion. It's just depressing as hell to consistently watch another team lay it all on the line when it matters most and your team is idling like its a exhibition. Maybe in another sport, this type of poise would matter more, not in hockey.

I don't get this - he's been solid. Our top 5 dmen have been good all series. Even Dermott was great until that turnover. Sandin has been the only one who's sucked on D.

I always exercise between periods (walk 2 km) and I usually get back just as the period starts. Game 5, I got back 1 minute into O.T. and the game was over. I saw the replay and thought it was Bogosian who gave away the puck.

My dislike of Bogosian is silly and illogical.

One play I remember is Larionov ringing one off the bar against us. I think it was against San Jose in the 90's. My heart still has a scar from the ping!

Ok, well everyone is entitled to irrationally dislike a guy . But honestly, Bogo has been good this series and this year. In fact, he's even made me wonder how we'd fare last year if Kyle didn't just give up on the season and passed on trading for him. Bogo in there instead of Marincin...who knows how things may have turned out.
