To Marner and Matthews defense they are constantly playing against Danault who was called by McKinnon the toughest guy to play against... They have to find a way to get both out of Danault's way

the "coach" then needs to make adjustments. He needs to separate matthews-marner

force montreal to adapt either defend Marner-Nylander line OR defend Matthews

Keefe is a MORON

I thought Montreal played really well until they got the 2-0 lead. Then they just seemed to sit back and let us come at them. It was there for the taking. So frustrating. I actually felt like we were going to do it.

The Leafs dominated OT, and then Dermot decides he could just dipsy doodle at his own blueline and loses the puck for the OT winner...I think that was Montreal's second shot on goal.

At this moment your comments are keeping me sane. Someone feels like I do. Your ........ Premier is keeping from going to my cottage 30km inside the Ontario border even though I am fully vaccinated. Even though I have donated to Ontario hospitals. My will has been changed. FU.

Need to bring in Torts to teach these losers how to be professionals or they will be benched and shipped out.

Keefe/Dubas run this team like they are running a daycare.
Look how well Torts did with Columbus this year. Leafs need that firecracker in the dressing room to get them going but wouldnt be too long till the players zone him out.

We need a no spinning policy in OT. First Galchenyuk with a spinning cross-ice feed and now Dermott spinning around the puck for some bizarre reason

I have to say, venting on here with all of you is a life saver (not literally). My wife is not interested in my anger lol

Thank you all for venting, supporting and understanding what it means to be a Leaf fan... it's a tough path we chose.

Deep breath folks. Maybe we try the positive vibe thing for the next 2 days? I mean, it can't hurt? Sleep on it.

See you all in the PreGT and GDT! Cheers.

Misery loves company. lol

Our boys just get down on themselves too much. It's all in the head! Montreal had no business winning that overtime.

NEVER feel sorry for yourself. You feel empathy for others. Drown out the noise and you keep fighting!

Utterly bizarre how much the complexion of this team changed when they won game 4. The slightest ounce of pressure makes this team into complete cowards. The starts to game 5 and 6 were utterlh putrid

Not really. This is exactly how they play games. They get up by a couple of goals and they think they can take the rest of the night off. They are talented enough to be able to win games in the regular season playing 10 minutes a game but that does not work in the playoffs. This group just does not have the mindset of champions who will play hard every shift.

Not sure if someone beat me to it, but...

I said earlier in the GDT, Toronto has let Montreal hang around too long in this series. This should've been over in four or five but they couldn't get over Tavares' injury in Game 1 and they gave away Game 5. Now Montreal has all the momentum and our Leafs are literally in the worst spot imaginable for their psyche, not to mention the physical toll this series has taken, with Tavares and Muzzin (likely) both out for Game 7 and Foligno, our big TDL acquisition, playing injured.

Is Keefe telling his guys to hold onto the puck at all cost? You should never play around with the puck at your own blueline, especially in OT...chip it out and live for another shift. Is he even reminding his guys to just chip it out and don't play around in that area?

I'm positively giddy at the thought of bringing Torts in for a couple of seasons. There's no "we didn't start on time" with that guy.

Bang on. There were a handful of games this year where they were nowhere to be found for 40 minutes and then decided to show up late in the 3rd and win the game.

You can't do that shit in the playoffs.

Just expose Marner at the expansion draft. That will free up 11m quick. What’s the point of having a 11m non factor player in the playoffs.

Yep. For example, love Muzzin, but when we first got him, he would regularly deliver devastating open-ice hits. That has completely left his game the past 2 years.

Fully agreed. It's a culture thing. We just don't have a winning mentality.

Honestly the OT winner tonight was a nothing play, not unlike Galchenyuk. Dermott has always had the yips retrieving pucks, it's why he wasn't in the lineup initially. It's not about keeping possession, especially tonight, just a flawed player showing his warts

Chucky just went brain dead

He can barely catch anyone to deliver an open ice hit anymore, that's why.

You don't need to be a speed demon to deliver big open ice hits. Scott Stevens never blew anyone away with his speed, and nor did Muzzin when we first got him. You just have to be mean.
