Leadership deficit on this team extends to the coaching staff. Hard to imagine the players even taking the PP coaching seriously at this point.

I'm sure we'll get the big brain 33 million dollar panic line when Keefe's offense is predictably shut down by the NZ trap.

Yes but we knew what we were getting though. Isles fans for long time complained about John. This is who he is.
Matthews and Marner are new age players.

Spezza and Joe are not going to talk down to stars. Who are they now to talk down to a 50 goal scorer?

We just played CBus last year, you'd think you may have seen Foligno play once or twice?

Guys like Foligno have already been brought in before. Unfortunately you need your best players to also have that personality for the Folignos of the world to make an impact. What typically happens with the Leafs is that the player who is brought in adapts the soft style of the Leafs rather than the other way around. We have seen this for years with this team.

That first one is the view that tells me it was in. Skilletor right behind the net in perfect position to see the puck, emphatically saying no no no.

I mean, I don't feel comfortable saying its the reason we lost but it kinda is lol.
You can't get a definitive picture of the puck clearly positioned across the goal line but you can track the movement of part of the puck for a split second... knowing the dimensions of the puck and the location of the goal line relative to the camera angle & puck, it should have been a good goal.

Holtby's dark skate blurs the ability to definitively track the entire puck, but you can still track a fraction of the puck which is all you need to know considering the puck's dimensions and goal line are constants (even taking into consideration the exact rotational positional of the puck, there's enough room for error that you know it's fully across the line; any rotation of the puck making it more on it's side would help the case for a good goal as it's taking up less area).

Whatever, just 1 point instead of 2.

And you knew the distinct sound of every single different players stick right?
My god, of all the things to go wrong tonight, this is the hill you're dying on?
I’ve noticed It’s pretty much every game with him, for the past 2-3 seasons. Thats why!

speaking of "pathetic" which seems to be a word alot like to use around here...
i think secretly there are some fans here who would prefer if we lost every game if it meant they could say "i told you so" every other day.

I am one of them. I been screaming for this team to be a bit tougher and meaner
Grow some balls

So I told you all Leafs fans. I told you so. Lack of balls is going to get us again. We need lots of big big balls

as soon as it went to OT I knew we weren't winning

Oh well, surely Foligno is what we were missing....

Yep, hopefully Foligno can do something to change the culture.

Not sure we've brought in a Foligno at all recently. He's got skill, toughness and leadership while still being young enough to use it. Like what we were hoping to get from Thornton.

This team lacks maturity and that killer instinct to put away other teams. They also wither as soon as the going gets tough.

I'm seeing pretty plays when the simple plays are the way to go. Over passing and not enough shooting and when they actually shoot it's when there's no traffic. The lack of offense from D is a pretty big void this team has had. They have desperately missed a D with a dangerous shot from the point.
THat there will change even more to the right direction as soon as foligno steps on the ice sire  We got thugs.. in simmer, bogo, hyman (now injured), muzzin and even big joey... but foligno is such a THUGGA. We finna twerk some soon. Like for real mayne.

We hard now. This games should have been over before it started though. Hope y'
alls didn't lose all of ya'lls houses and dirt. Money and S.

Well, it's a good thing we have leadership now like Thornton and Simmonds. Both are useless if they can't do what they were brought in to do. Edler might have ended Hyman's season, I expect a response from Simmonds, but he hasn't responded all season.

The Power Play is beyond words, absolutely pathethic, putrid, disgusting, abhorrent (I guess there were a few words). The problems on the pp begin with Rielly, who has to be one of the absolute most brain dead defenceman we've had in a long time.

Campbell will never be a No. 1 goalie. He's not tough enough mentally. Since his streak ended he's no longer the confident dude everyone fell in love with. But he is what he is, a backup goalie. He's not the answer. We have to hope Andersen's problems were related to his injury.

Marner has to stop with the cute plays. Looks good when it works, looks like crap when it doesn't.

Stop with the defencemen joining and even leading rushes. It's costing us games. Worry about defence. Muzzin in OT is just wrong. He doesn't skate well enough.

Besides these things, there's hope. We really are gifted offensively. We dominated this game. Their goalie had the largest horseshoes up his ass . And we do have players that know how to play the game the right way coming in. Foligno and Nash will help immensely. I just hope it's Simmonds and Thornton that go out when they come in.

Literally robbed of the f***ing game winning goal. Everyone should seriously calm down.

Even the sharks saw during their last poor years, with their current poor club (while we are a good club), that joe thornton is not a player for the first lines. Not for the first PP neither sire. The sharks used him in the second pp and in their last two lines, dirty third and 4th sire. We used him wrongly with our coach keefe. Even him makes mistakes. Such a puppy he still is though.

Next you're gonna tell me that throwing on Joe as the extra forward is also a waste... Come on now, surely Sheldon is on to something... Any day now it will work...

dump it in, carry it in ... . The point is to make the other team guess. Leafs may not be able to get in all the time, but it is better than not be able to get in every time.
Or... And hear me out here. .. we can skate it to the blue line, drop it back to some guy three miles away and try to skate through four guys.

Guaranteed success my friend.

Do they do the post game on SN590 after every Leafs game? I sometimes like to listen to others grumbling about the losses or cheerfully celebrating the wins to go along with you fine folk!
