The simple solution is to force JT into accepting a cap dump trade and moving him to the Kraken for a draft pick and prospect at 25% retained.

Matthews , Marner and Nylander you re-up when the time comes and hope that O'Reilly and Aciari help change the complexion of our team going forward. Lafferty is usable as well.

Marner was really disappointing this series. Doesnt look like himself at all. I thought he was good in the tampa series this year but still had a lot more to give. Last years Tampa series was Marners best as a leaf IMO. His play clearly drop-off come playoff time and he is the main play driver of the team. I think this is a big part of it. Nylander is the only player that actually ups his game during playoffs.

Tavares has been a problem for a long time now. Dont think we can trade him off but if we can we definitely should.

Marner is my favorite player but im pretty disappointed right now. Hes gotta find a way to be at his best come playoffs.

Im not sure what kind of trade we could even make to shakeup this core but if there is a Matthew Tkachuck esque trade available we might have to do it for one of our big boys. Marner or Matthews. Gotta see how extension talks go with Willy and AM34 first.
