Be objective.

This year:
- Top 20 in scoring among centres
- 11th in faceoff percentage
- Average defensively

That's at minimum a low-end #1C (which obviously isnt worth the 11 million).

I'm not comparing him to a Matthews, McDavid, Mackinnon, etc. superstar #1C, but he's clearly a #1 centre.
He's far from average defensively. He has a lot of trouble generating chances himself. He can't drive a line. He can finish, mainly on the powerplay. That's it. He's a second line center and PP specialist.

Too bad we have half the stones that this Kraken team has, with half the offensive talent doing twice the job.

Our coach is absolutely horrifying, keeping M and M together the whole night tonight another example of this. The first goal tonight was a miscommunication between Holl and McCabe. How many actual minutes did they play together this year? By my eye not very much and would bet as less any pair did on the team, but hey let's put them together in an elimination playoff game. Galaxy brain at work again.

The worst is our fancy dan regular season possession strategies that fall to pressure every damn chance they get. That comes from management down.

You know who would have made a huge difference to this series? A healthy Jake Muzzin. Brodie let his man make a play on the winning goal without even trying to impede him , give and go around the net scores.

You need to be more physical with this Florida team. Brodie and Giordano have too much mileage it seems. Never thought they'd let me down like this. Huge fan of both. But they fell off and cost us.
They’re too slow on the backend. They can’t break the puck out their end because of it. The whole team is slow.

I guess I'll be hate watching from here on out... for one more game lol

Really disappointed this core could not get their shit together. I think Dubas put together a great team, this season and in seasons past. The root of the problem always the core. Tough pill for him to swallow I am sure.

I'd be okay with him coming back, provided the is willing to fire and move everyone. If he is not willing, and I can see why he wouldn't, it's time to bring in new management who will.

I don't know where to find those but this was a goody.

You'd think a team that uses analytics so much would know these mid game and be like ok this isn't working.

Keefes braindead move was to put all three together

….well no f***ing shit we didn’t score. We had the offensively inept Brodie out there for 26 minutes and these three as a combination

If we get swept (or I mean regardless) then we should look right at Florida.

Coached fired, star player traded.

A serious shake up is needed.
Yaaa, I don't think the Leafs are going to get lucky with a Tkachuk quality player being available because he doesn't want to sign with his team.

They don’t use corsi, or shouldn’t, but regardless, you could see with your eyes they were garbage.

Obviously hindsight, but I wish we jumped on him instead

Marner + sandin might’ve gotten it done as a base

That’s as close as it’s going to get for us I think. Ah well. Naz is the leaf with the most heart in decades. This team, management, majority of fan base get what they deserve

Sure, I’m just saying it took them a long ass time and people ruled them out too. It’s not always linear. Sure wasn’t less than 8 years like implied.

Tampa went to the Cup finals in 2015 which was Stamkos' 7th season and Kucherov's 2nd. Ovechkin posted 11 goals and 21 points in 14 games in his 2nd playoff run. I get that it 'could' happen but man they haven't won a single game in the 2nd round yet. That's just unfathomably and uniquely disappointing.
