The trade market for any of our core guys (bar maybe Nylander) is so low that we aren't going to get much of any value back. They've shown who they really are. Darker times ahead I'm afraid.

I hate being so emotionally invested in this team. Heartbreak after heartbreak and yet I keep coming back. I try to be optimistic but when you see a performance like that from our stars it’s a real gut punch.
Don't let it get to you. I knew this was going to happen 90 seconds into the 2nd period of Game 2.

I think I'm done being a hardcore fan. I was going to stop if they lost in the first round but this is essentially the same thing

There is no point watching this team for 70+ games, following the daily lines, deadline rumours etc. Just a waste of time when they do the same shit over and over again
I did that after the habs series

Last twi years ive watched mayb 25 full regular season games out of 164

Another 30-40 games where i watched at least 1 period but not the whole game of the remaining reg season games

I'd follow the GDTs and read these boards but passion and love for team died down

Last years loss to tampa didnt feel that bad, this years win vs tampa vs nice but not as crazy as it would have felt a few years ago

Life moves on, I just started to take the leafs as a nice and fun hobby rather than life or death

It's interesting that with all that talk about how awesome Mitch Marner is, how he could rack up points, that Matthew Tkachuk already has two straight seasons of over 100 points with two different teams, while Marner has none.

Deal them anyways

Tank for all I care, just don’t have those f***ing losers on your team

We need a massive trade of one or two of the core. Dubas has to show that he has the balls to do what Masai did. Masai traded a popular core player like DeRozan because he knew despite successful seasons, they weren't going to win anything with him. That's the way I feel about this team, one of Marner or Matthews has to go. Masai made the trade after winning 52 games, getting rid of a good coach, to change the path of the team. I'm convinced that's what we need now.

I love our boys but there are certain elements you can not teach. Now, it is wrong to say that they are not trying. I don't know how to explain it. Think of a lion that has been in human care compared to one that has surived in nature. We are missing that nature element. Where to find it? Well, there are guys making a lot of money that should be doing this.

0 backbone
Easy to hate
This Florida team not even that good

Our boys still playing regular season hockey
Thought they were already in the cup final

Or maybe they just want to leave and making it easy

I've been one of the very patient fans who even after last year wanted to run it back without major changes, but at this point how can anyone be upset at the idea of starting over again? The leafs actually regressed this year and looked worse against Tampa than they did last year and outplayed Tampa in only one of the six games. This team just doesn't work.

If Arizona is willing to give you a big haul for Matthews that includes Cooley + a couple decent young players you absolutely do it especially if you're able to find a team that will give you a good return for
Not going to happen. He's a UFA after next year. Why would AZ trade a kings ransom now for him?

and we only have until June 30 this year to trade him w/o his approval.
