They're done like dinner. All the top players production dried out. 0 goals from Marner, Matthews, Tavares or Nylander.

f***ing Lafferty and Gustaffson score and you expect to win? LOL. you dont deserve to win.
well we were all told if our depth guys pitched in once in a while we'd easily win and advance in the playoffs because our core is really good and just needs a little help. apparently that's not case though.

The best thing for the future of this team would be an absolutely putrid performance in Game 4 to leave no doubt that this core doesn't and never will have it in them to be championship caliber team. I fear a 2 game rally then losing in a more respectable 6 would give this contention charade another reprieve.

The Leafs play down to the level of their opponents. Though in this case our luck really just ran out. Florida deserves credit because they really are a great team. Your starting goalie goes down, Knies, refs decide for the first time this year we don't get a powerplay, but yeah, we were probably going to lose anyway.
Has not happened since the 50s to the Leafs. The no PP.

Well I think we all know the Leafs will lose, but let's give them a little credit. They can do it in a variety of ways. They could battle back to force a game 7 and lay an egg then. Or they could jump out to a huge lead in game 4 and go on to blow it. I'm really excited to see how they pull it off
Getting to game 7 just to blow it seems like it would be the worst

Yes yes again with the Clark and Gilmour stories.

They never won a f***ing thing either.
True. But at least those teams had grit and determination.

I never left feeling "Shit, I wish this team tried more and played to our expected skill level". Unlike with this team which is almost every game for the last few years.

They have to try to move Tavares. Just make the effort at least and start the conversation.
Johns not going to waive...100% sure about that. He only signed here because of his then g/f, now wife was starting a business in the GTA.

We need a massive trade of one or two of the core. Dubas has to show that he has the balls to do what Masai did. Masai traded a popular core player like DeRozan because he knew despite successful seasons, they weren't going to win anything with him. That's the way I feel about this team, one of Marner or Matthews has to go. Masai made the trade after winning 52 games, getting rid of a good coach, to change the path of the team. I'm convinced that's what we need now.
Dubas? I would think the team signed his severance papers tonight.

In completely unrelated news:

Wes McCauley was the referee today, and completely coincidentally, the Leafs did not get a single powerplay for the first time in their 100+ year history.
We keep ignoring this because the Leafs flat out sucked. But the PP would have made a huge difference in this game and series.

Marner is the one who truly hasn't learnt. He was god awful today. Got stripped from the puck several times, made silly passes, and was on the ice for two goals against.

How can a player play this scared 3 years ago.

Honestly, at this point there's not much to lose with the starting Murray. If he leads to a miracle the team ends up in the second round, if he plays well for a couple games and they still lose, he potentially ups, his trade value, and if he flops nothing really changes.
I think theyve moved on from Murray, otherwise he'd be on the bench IMO

The trade market for any of our core guys (bar maybe Nylander) is so low that we aren't going to get much of any value back. They've shown who they really are. Darker times ahead I'm afraid.
Keep Matty if he signs a team friendly deal and if he is ok with trading marner. Nylander and JT can go as well.

The PP arguably lost the series for them in Game 1 and 2 when they dropped passed to oblivion.
