Dubas assembled a decent team but keefe with no gameplan pissed it away i would give dubas one more chance by getting a gallant a queenville a sutter type coach actually knows how to coach the playoffs as all 3 managed to get to stanley cup playoffs

Keefe is such a terrible, terrible coach...Matthews and Marner were both flops in game 2, and tonight, he still refuses to juggle the lines.

Priority 1 has to be to getting rid of this bum. He should have been out after the Montreal series.

I would say it will be more of a retool and not a rebuild.

All has to happen in the next 7 weeks. At least if they want to move on from Matthews.

For now I will cling to the shred of hope thay they become the 3rd team to come back from 3-0.

I’m not even mad because this core doesn’t have it. Pretty obvious and also our style of play is so soft.

More upset that the greatest leaf I might ever see is a big p***y who cares about bieber and his image more than winning for the leafs.

Even with that said we can’t trade Matthews, we’ll never get another like him. Waiting out tavares contract isn’t enough of a change for what 5-6$ mil off his current salary? We need to trade marner and his “happy buddy buddy” culture. We need to separate Mathews and marner.

That would free up 11 mil. Then tavares resigns half price so roughly 16-17 mil Freed up plus whatever assets for marner.

Resign orielly.

Bunch of people on here were calling for major changes after the loss to Columbus - 4th straight 1st round loss, and a loss against a significantly inferior opponent. Just a great example of how playoffs are played/reffed differently.

I wonder how this team would look today had they done an aggressive retool at the time? It's frankly hard to imagine that 3 playoffs later, they'd be sitting on only one series win.

It's incredibly hard to be so consistently bad in the playoffs after being so consistently good in the regular season, but hats off to this team. They're certainly consistent.
