Leafs are 1-3-1 running 11/7.

Marner over 29 minutes tonight. Matthews 27. Keep them fresh Keefer.
Does Keefe actually know what he is doing? Does he know how to employ a checking line.
Does he know what to do about motivating a team, like playing Murray who has no chance of winning and is not in shape...then suddenly over playing your stars?
Keefe....you are the weakest link.

Matthews was good. Marner was good. JT was OK.
Willy gets a C.
Lil was terrible.
Keefe was the worse.

We went 11-2-2 through the last month of the season last year...

May have that unicorn but what I need to see coming soon to a PO near you, is 4-0 in the first round. If they're out again I just hope the Dubas defenders such as yourself finally admit you were wrong. I mean you haven't really got it right yet.

We finished the season prior 7-2-1 as well.
The playoffs really have nothing to do with your claim. Your statement was literally about "leading into the playoffs".
You need to see a sweep of the 3X Eastern Conference Champs, for what exactly? Because it sounds like you're trying to intentionally create a really unrealistic and arbitrary bar to hit so that you can keep dumping on them if they win.
Not sure what a "Dubas defender" is, or what you think I'm wrong about. Quite an odd statement, since I've been consistently correct, and you were wrong just now in this discussion.

It's not worth getting into it with you because you will cherry pick stats etc. They have routinely had issues leading into the TDL and after. That is what I was talking about. The final 10 games against teams that are out or are resting top players doesn't mean much.

You fully support Keefe and Dubas, the contracts and everything else. We have 0 playoff series wins and Keefe is playing Marner 28mins leading into the first round. (Let me guess, this is also genius)

I will only be happy when this team makes it into the ECF, that's true. They need a deep run this year for the morale alone.

Do you honestly think this group will stay together if not? No way.

If we have an early exit the coach and GM need to go.

o'reilly acquisition hasnt made any difference.
he is a bust.

He should payoff in the PO.

Dubas doing a 180 at the TDL by adding what he did was literally admitting he/they were wrong. And to do it with "everything" on the line, is quite telling.

Playoff like game. Both teams clogged the front of their net. We could not get more than one goal and went oh for, on the PP. Still a good test. Canes will be another good test because they have NJ nipping at their heals for the division lead.

haha, this board is hilarious.

7D is to get all the D some playing time, does anyone really think we are running it in the playoffs?

Let them get a look now at D combos and let the D get to know the system, why are we worried about dropping the skills competition?

I'm pretty certain the 11/7 will be dropped by the time ROR is back, and ZAR is going to get pushed out of the lineup for Knies.

We have our 12 forwards already, we are sorting out the 6 D.

Side note, has Marner ever looked tired? I was always fine with letting Marner have 25+ a night, he always looks fresh. I don't think I've ever seen Marner or Matthews tired.

The funny thing is heard people talk about this game as snooze... euh.. if leafs want to win in PLAYOFF, thats the way they need to play

Youre not gonna win trying to outsfore your opponent 4-3 everynight.

This game was a real playoff caliber game

I think we are 3 pts up on TB securely no in 2nd
I said "We are securely in the playoffs and looking good for that second seed"

and yes we are still looking good to get that second seed. 3pts separate us and the Bolts, and we have a game in hand. I also went on to say I really don't think home ice will matter much against the bolts. Or anyone for that matter. Our biggest issue is not going to be last change or crowd environment, it will always be ourselves.

I don't like this going through the motions version of our team, but it seems to be happening league wide at the moment. I think the top teams are just taking some time for themselves to be with their families and taking care of their physical and mental wellbeings. Because in a couple weeks time, it will be go time and like it or not we will need to turn the dial up.

Again, I have been so apathetic to these past 5 games or so. It really feels like the regular season is just dragging on at this point. I really couldn't give two f***s about this loss or the last one if I am being honest. I'll start to worry if this continues to happen in the final week or 2 of the season.

How was adding ROR and McCabe any different than Foligno and Muzzin? Obviously not talking about caliber of player, rather philosophy.

Dubas hasn’t changed anything, and if it doesn’t work again people will still point to lack of “character adds” as being his downfall despite no truth to that whatsoever.

If Dubas is fired it’ll be a huge mistake. Now that’s not me saying it isn’t justified if they lose again, but he has proven to be a very smart, very patient and very shrewd GM. I can almost guarantee his successor will be objectively worse.

25mins+ a night is insane leading in the PO. If we make the 2nd Round he'll be gassed or have a poor series potentially. He should be resting up wherever possible.

Add: Not to mention risk of injury increases substantially with fatigue and TOI.
