All of their wins are low scoring close games

That's their true problem, they can't score goals this season. Godly goaltending from Campbell has bloated their record. Without him, they'd be under .500%... no one can dispute that either.

The Leafs sit near the bottom of the NHL is goals per game on average. Pretty much says the whole story. Zero secondary scoring.

Kerfoot, 2 goals, Engvall, 1 goal, Simmonds, 1 goal, Ritchie, 0 goals... they need help offensively.

Leafs top PP unit is a combined 45.5m, Penguins top PK unit tn was a combined 10.1m, 13.6m if you include Jarry

They got dominated, sucks to see.

.935 save %, not good enough Soup, can you step it up? LOL, just joking...

At least we weren't blown out, wasn't a bad game to watch.

We need to switch the lines too

nylander and Tavares reek
Matthews and Marner think they are playing pond hockey

split Tavares and nylander up tmrw and make 3 lines
tell Matthews and Marner to f*** off with this fancy pass crap or be split up

Clean outworked in this one. Not good enough.

And yeah ZERO even strength (non-EN) points for the Big 4 in 3gms since Keefe switched them back for no real reason.

Kyle, call Keefe into your office bud. :P

This has been discussed in other threads and already shown that this is not a Leaf thing.

Take the top 4 goal scorers of every team, then the rest of the team and the split is almost the same league wise.

It's almost been a quarter of the season so I don't know if the Leafa will be a high scoring team.

But they have shown they can play low scoring games and win so I don't know what the issue is

They go to NYI tomorrow, who are looking for their first win in their new building, and then out west.

You can't win all of them. BUT if we got one goal would have lifted some frustration. I was like, surely one is going to go in right?

Name one another player that makes one of the highest AAV in the league, gets most PP minutes and hasn't scored even 1 goal on the PP in the last 80 odd games almost a full season.

It is mind boggling how bad Marner is on the PP with his muffin shot
Well he can't shoot and everybody was asking him to shoot more. The thing that blows me away is how often we shoot wide from 25 or less feet. My word this is the NHL.

Matthews not shooting when Jarry was on his ass was surprising, did he not realize? He could've roofed it

Not going to sweat it. File this one under "can't win em all."

Would be nice to be getting more offense, though, especially in terms of secondary scoring.
