All of their wins are low scoring close games
3 2-1 games in a 10 game span isn't "learning". learning is doing that when it matters, aka the playoffsThat's literally what they did during their 9-1 run...
How does game 19 of the regular season matter? Your point makes no sense3 2-1 games in a 10 game span isn't "learning". learning is doing that when it matters
Clean outworked in this one. Not good enough.
And yeah ZERO even strength (non-EN) points for the Big 4 in 3gms since Keefe switched them back for no real reason.
twice this season no less. At least this one was 9 seconds short of the full 2 minutes. Unlike the last time. How could this team not create any space with a 5 on 3? I don't get it.
That's their true problem, they can't score goals this season. Godly goaltending from Campbell has bloated their record. Without him, they'd be under .500%... no one can dispute that either.
The Leafs sit near the bottom of the NHL is goals per game on average. Pretty much says the whole story. Zero secondary scoring.
Kerfoot, 2 goals, Engvall, 1 goal, Simmonds, 1 goal, Ritchie, 0 goals... they need help offensively.
we lost but did we out Corsi them ?
They go to NYI tomorrow, who are looking for their first win in their new building, and then out west.
Need to shoot more so frustratingLeafs played fine, got unlucky with some posts and Jarry played well. But man, that 5 vs 3 PP was horrendous considering it was crunch time.
Well he can't shoot and everybody was asking him to shoot more. The thing that blows me away is how often we shoot wide from 25 or less feet. My word this is the NHL.Name one another player that makes one of the highest AAV in the league, gets most PP minutes and hasn't scored even 1 goal on the PP in the last 80 odd games almost a full season.
It is mind boggling how bad Marner is on the PP with his muffin shot
Matthews not shooting when Jarry was on his back was surprising, did he not realize? He could've roofed it
