Reeves job no longer exists in the league today. It has been going away for a while but it died completely when Kassian was suspended for trying to force Tkachuk to fight a couple years ago.
Someone like Reeves can’t force the rats in the league to fight and none of them are going to fight him by choice. But it won’t stop the rats from being rats because they know no one can hold them accountable

The one thing kyle was excellent at was not doubling down on mistakes and turning the page fast when guys don’t fit, hopefully tre sees what we all see and has a similar skill to clear up an error rather harmlessly

Fix the top 6, fix the bottom 6, fix the defence. Hard-nosed, grinding, defensive hockey.

The reason Dubas wasn’t able to do much with goaltending and defense is because of the salary cap.

That putrid defense core needs upgrading, I feel like I'm taking crazy pills cause I've been saying the same shit for 10 years.

Think the lesson here may be to look elsewhere on the team to start with trades than the guys who produce when times are tough imo

In the meantime, Kampf + Reaves + Klingberg are excellent ways to clear cap for a defenseman

I soivt Marner is going anywhere, but seeing as willy is holding out on extending and is playing good.......Tavares, we are stuck with him, he has the most untradable contract
