Nah, you just assume that I do. You won't find any posts of me boasting about "guaranteed" wins against Buffalo or Carolina last week. But, yes, there are some games that I do expect will be certain wins, like against San Jose. I would say the same thing when Boston or Vegas plays San Jose. Those should be guaranteed wins for the better teams. LA is a tough one to get a handle on because of how poor they seem to play at home. It's the kind of game the Leafs should lose, and then they end up winning it.
 
LA is one of, if not the toughest team for us to play. Deep, heavy, with skill.. they love to play the NZ 1-1-3 or 1-3-1 and force teams to try and grind... They Leafs of course, hate grinding so early goals against the Kings are key. Make them chase the game a bit... So please start on time.

I don't Ike Samsonov but I don't think exposing Hildeby to the NHL right now is a good call. Our defense and team defense is atrocious.

Not liking the D's gap control. They are either sagging too far back or non existent due to a bad pinch with no forward back. NTM they have about as much bite as baby formula. Their penalty kill isn't as good as it was last season as well.

As far as goalies go, Samsonov has clearly played the worst but placing your faith on any of those other goalies is not ideal. Woll (while playing well) is still lacking experience as is Hildeby. Jones has played 450 or so games but is not a true starter. .

Leafs need to either A) Address their D/team D to ease the pressure on these goaltenders or B) They need to trade for a goaltender they know will steal them games.

Playoffs will be here before you know it and having suspect D and goalies isn't a good look. Placing hope on Hildeby isn't going to make it better either.
 
Leafs core 4:

Matthews, Tavares, marner, Rielly.

Putting Rielly in that group seems incongruous.

He should should really be in the Tier 2 group:
Rielly, Nylander, Bertuzzi and Brodie.
