Well, we tried the big names hires. How that worked for us, i wonder 🤔
To be honest, I can’t remember a more out of sync leadership group than Babcock and Dubas. They absolutely did not mesh and were not rowing in the same direction even remotely.

Berube and Treliving were more in sync, but Berube didn’t have the players he needed to play how he wanted but made no effort to change his coaching to play to his players strengths. As for Treliving, just a bunch of nothing and when he did something he got fleeced. Right idea that the team wasn’t well built on defence but puzzling and inconsistent way of going about building it up.

would love to put them up against these Outsiders.

I don’t think he will be. I think he’s due for a bounce back season and it’s doubtful we’re getting a better defenseman in return.
People have been saying he’s due for a bounce back year for three years running, who knows maybe it’ll happen one of these years?

Doesn’t it make you question the chain of events from 2023? That was the style they felt they could have the most success in and they moved away from it and now they are going back
its unfortunate that the league shifted the opposite of where we went

when we went skilled and fast, the league shifted to heavy and physical

when it shifted back, we had already 180'd to fit that mold

having to play this watered down version of tampa that is way more skill and finesse, or the fricking buffalo sabres instead of the chara led bruins did things to the philosophy

That's really how it feels.
I wonder if other teams have fallen for this ?
