Yeah, it's weird to put down the team when we're missing 11M on the cap. It's not like we replaced it. We're playing 11M shorthanded.

The way the team is designed if any of the core 3 are injured, it's a significant handicap considering they'll be making over 35M combined.

Whether or not you agree with the design is a different story - but we are playing without one of our best players and our leading scorer last season.

This is our team until the offseason. It's not like we can change it between games. Their style is to outscore teams and they're not great defensively.

It's not like they don't play dead head hockey on a regular basis with Marner anyway. This team has zero sympathy points from anyone.

Losing 4-3 on the road happens in hockey and doesn't deserve the biggest freak out. But it's how Leafy you look when you lose: how clown shoes you look to start a game or a period, or finish a period. How your stars look like they'd rather be doing other stuff for 2/3 of the game, and how hard they suddenly try when it's out of reach. And then how yakkity sax it looks when they blow it again... and how this is exactly how they're going down in the playoffs.

No progression with these guys.

That's because there's never been a Leafs team that's played such uninspiring NHL hockey as this group. Ever.

Started watching the Leafs back in the early 80's and they've never been a talented group but have always been a lunch bucket team when it came to hustle and effort.

This group is talented but lazy and only seem to give an effort when it's time to cash in on their next contract
