Man Leafs/Toronto/Hockey is a crazy market. I still remember people were looking at flights/airports and what not for switzerland/zurich when willy/dubas were negotiating

Missing games has nothing to do with what I said. He is still long the downside of his career and hasn't looked good at all this season.
The team hasn't had anything to celebrate and adding another end of his career player isn't going to change that. I equate adding ROR as the same as adding Foligno.
I don’t think he’s going to take league minimum but can we get him at 4.5 instead of 7.5 on a 2 year deal? Probably. I’ve been high on the ROR train. I believe he’s wanted to play in Toronto for some time now and they’ve finally made it happen.
A) the cupThe big question is, how far do the leafs have to get this year for you to consider it a success?
Second question, how far do the leafs have to go for Dubas to get an extension?

Well, the best news for you is that you are wrong about ROR being past his prime!!Sorry. Just not impressed with this move. ROR is passed his prime and I don't think he puts them over the top.
2 strapping playoff worn winning men finally in our lineup
Pay dat man his (Kerfoot's) money.
Funny thing is he may be the only GM in Leaf history that never missed the playoffs. Lol!Translation: Dubas will be fired without a first round win.
The man is going to swarmed with the PASSION of the fanbase and hopefully go on a deep run.
That + his family connections to Ontario could make him well inclined for team friendly extension. Agreed not Gio or Spezza cheap, though
haha that and the Stamkos flights... Also I remember when Brad Richards was a free agent, and we desperately needed a 1C... Was a crazy time around here. They are here to work !I'm liking ROR's classic American workwear style.

The Leafs haven't won a playoff round after 18 seasons, so there is an aspect of the fan base that would simply like to get that monkey off the teams back, and prove this team is actually cable of winning a 7 game series. So I get that the bar might be set a little low by other diehard fans standards for that exact reason.I would hope so but I did see a couple of posts, “if we win a round it was worth it, Dubas is safe” or something very similar

Except it didn't literally cost millions. I think the actual cash out for Minny is $75K.What I find kind of interesting in the 4th for Minnesota's retention is how expensive it is for a team to manufacture a mid round pick. Literally costs millions.
A lot of flexibility though. Maybe we get a Top 4 D?

I don’t anticipate Kampf being with us after this year. We won’t be able to afford him as a 4th line Center. He’s going to get paid on the open marketCould definitely solve the 3C spot for a few years if he takes a fair AAV. Also puts Kampf to 4C where I think he belong. Excellent center depth if ORielly returns to his play in previous years and should be a boost to the 3rd line
