We only have one contract spot right now. Meyers is out there as an NCAA UFA. Abruzzese, McBain, and Knies need contracts if we want them in our lineup.

It is small, but very important for a team like us when we want cheap depth for the playoffs.

You didn't answer my question. Also, it seems pretty dumb to compare players with entirely different roles and skillsets, does it not? Brodie and/or Muzzin are significantly better comparison points to Lindholm than Morgan, that should be obvious to anyone who watches the team.

Apparently we have 6 mil in cap space with Muz on LTIR? That is with Simmonds ,Clifford and Mrazek on the roster, they represent about 3mil in cap space, plus Sandin and Lily could go down, that represents 1.7 mil... if Muz remains on LTIR till the playoffs, if I assume correctly that represents about 10 mil in TDL cap space.

This trade is eerily similar to the Leetch trade from yesteryear. Leetch was pretty good for us from what I recall, and technically should’ve been a Leaf for another year if not for the lockout.
