Wonder what the cap looks like now. Between Muzzin, Mrazek being sent down, Dermott being dealt, retention on Giordano, Blackwell, the new goalie etc a lot of moving parts.

Lindholm is a better player than Gio he will be moving forward on tbe Bruins

We got Gio at a good price but your going to be surprised once Lindholm recovers to his usual elite defensive self under Bostons strong system.
No doubt Lindholm is a better player at this stage compare to Gio but if Lindholm doesn’t resign, it is a horrible deal for the Bruins.

How could we possibly land MAF with his cap hit? Even if Raz goes the other way and Chicago retains 50% we have to pay for that.

Giordano better than Lindholm? Surely you're joking
I’ve watched them both for several years and yes, for a Playoff Run I’d rather have Giordano. I love Hampus, but he’s injury prone and doesn’t play the physical style with nasty edge that Mark brings.

Also, look at the price Lindholm cost.

I‘m not the biggest Dubas fan, but so far today he’s done solid work.

You seem to be negative, almost bitter for most of this Thread. With all due respect, Perhaps take a step back, because I see a better Leaf’s Team already.

Meh, not really impressed with Chayka TBH.

She was an early mover with her brother, but that is about it. Pretty much riding off of that. Haven't really been impressed with any of the stuff she/Stathletes actually posts online.

If you're bringing Gio in for physicality, well I'd rather have the physicality of a Schenn or Chiarot or Manson. Giordano is over the hill.

While I agree Lindholm is soft, he's a vastly superior player

I don't think we are either. I wonder if Kyle circles back on Fleury

I don’t know. We’ve spent 3 second rounders in the last month. Given the ask on Fleury, and the ask cap, it’s hard to imagine.

I personally think we are done aside aside from something really small maybe

Now that the price is sorted, I'm really quite excited to have Giordano. He's had great chemistry with Brodie and can play top4 minutes. If he plays well, this is a dream pickup for us. Rielly-Brodie-Muzzin-Giordano is a terrific top 4 defenders, and with some quality in the depth like Lybushkin, Sandin, Liljegren, and Holl. Love 'em or hate 'em, there's enough of 'em that are good hockey players to have a competent blueline.

And let's be real, that's a group of big dudes who aren't afraid of rough stuff. I like this blueline a lot, and if any of Holl, Sandin, or Liljegren take a step forward it has the potential to be great. 8 quality blueliners with a good mix of size and talent, who can generate offense and play a bit of shutdown. It's not the best blueline in the league, but it still be a damn good one.

It's a good looking blueline on paper, yes yessiree, but the game is played on the ice. Hope it clicks, that's a good bunch of hockey players.
