Am I the only one happy that Xhekaj didn't get suspended? Game 1 is vs Montreal. Hopefully, Reaves will earn his paycheck.

I thought they'd suspend him a single regular season game just to avoid that situation.

Aren't you hoping Reaves doesn't dress?

Xhekaj is more important to Montreal than Reaves is to Toronto, so I suppose it'll be a good trade on penalties.

He is still fun to watch, he is a negative when it comes to winning though, so I'd like them to upgrade on him if possible (which it currently is).

So, overall, yes.

For entertainment purposes, no.

Both are fringe NHLers.

whats your point? dude was standing at the blue line and lent into the check, of course his left knee is out like that, he bracing for contact. Have you ever been on ice skates?
Stand down, boy, I didn’t say anything, I merely posted a picture. I’m not making a case for either side , boy.

Unfortunate for Laine, it wasnt that dirty but.. preseason, c'mon, do you really need to do that?

I dont like either team but let me tell you guys: I will be watching the first game when you play against habs this upcoming season and I will be enjoying every moment. :D Nothing like a good drama and Canadian teams doing each other dirty. Keep it up, I love the content. 🥰

Parros is a huge joke, Montreal fans want the players to injure all our stars for the season.
Time we send them a huge message by dressing a bunch of goons for the first game.
seems like cte chronic traumatic enkephalopathy he is at risk unprofessional lack of judgement impairing critical thinking skill

It's pretty common knowledge that bare knuckle fighting is safer than using gloves...

I’ve been punched in the head both ways, I prefer the glove on.

I am not going to read through this, but I am assuming the big difference is the hand wraps.

Your hands without wraps have give, your hands with wraps are basically concrete.

Biggest brainwash in leaf land is thinking Reaves would have prevented retaliation or somehow he will protects our star players by yapping from the bench.

We have already witnessed he doesn’t and when he fights is basically a bear hug match with all that armour on and most still have their shields on.

The only thing that hurts is their hands and it’s all about the circus afterwards raising their hands and celebrating tying to make a bear dance look like it’s something great.

Then the rest of his minutes on the ice are sheltered and he is still a defensively liability
It's not a deterrent. I don't think anyone has said it's a deterrent in the last 15 years.

What it will do though is have Arber fight Reeves and Reeves alone during the season opener. Amber won't be fighting other players on the roster as he would do if Reeves wasn't dressed.

Reeves and Arber will have their game long sideshow, allowing the more talented Leafs squad to concentrate on playing hockey.

Saw them in concert 40 yrs ago….gotta love Iron Maiden
I have been to only two concerts Metallica in 91 and Iron Maiden, dont know what year but Murder dolls was pre-concert band here in Sweden. One of the things i loved about Maidens concert is that the crowd is of all ages. I went with my mother and little brother.
One random guy was so drunk before any band even started play they had to escort him out of the building. To the cheers from a full stadium. He waved to the crowd thinking they loved him . If stupid was a team he would be the mascot. No Maiden for u sir.
