Always nice to start off with a win against the habs. Kadri looked like a different player then we've seen tonight. I know it's one game but nice start.

Tied for first and habs tied for last...gotta love it!..the boys played a good road game, nice way to start the season, a win in Montreal....love it!....Go Leafs!

Scrivens looked really shaky. From the dump in after the prust hit where he stumbled back to the net I go the feeling like it will be one of those games. I think he needs to stay in his net more; skating is not his strong suit.

The d looked great Kostka and Phaneuf ate tons of minutes and were not a reliability at all.

Kadri played well and hit Markov hard which is nice to see

That Grabo line... ouch everytime they were on the ice nothing semed to go right for them. Hope to see them pick it up.

Horrendous 3rd period but take the win.

We ALWAYSSSSSS ****ing step off the gas pedal when we have a lead. MAKES NO ****ING SENSE.

Happens to almost all teams. It's called a momentum shift. When other team gets desperate they play at a much higher level. That's why the leading team usually gets trapped in it's own zone the last few minutes of the game. It's not a Leafs only problem.

I know there was rust due to the lockout, but both teams looked like ass. Happy to get the W though.

Felt like Kadri played 18 minutes tonight.

I'm amazed it's just under 10 minutes.

He made an impression though, and was rewarded with a shift in the last minute of the game.

Randy as a coach should keep the lineup same, but I hope they have given orders for Reimer to play monday already. Would be a fine choice and give some stability to our goaltending. Scrivens is clearly not an first grade number one goalie. He can play against some teams, but not all... not against boston, philly or Sharks for example.

When should I post the Sabres vs Leafs GDT????

Tomorrow night?

Even an hour before the game will be just fine.

Last season there were a lot of no-shows, so if one wasn't done by 6:30 it was open to whoever could do it first after 6:30.
From sign up thread...
Warning: If you own the GDT and it is not up 1hr before puck drop at the latest, brace for the heat . There'll be chaos and expect things to go downhill after that... but seriously we can safely assume anything goes beyond that point (i.e. anyone is welcome to start a GDT by then).

Scrivens settled down as the night went on, he deserves to play Monday no matter how it looked. 1 goal against is 1 goal against and a win is a win. Me and my friends were talking about it earlier. We all agreed you play Scrivens until he loses.
