Big decisions for this game. Logically I would start the hot Campbell again. But Campbell had a busy third period last game. He is on a maintenance schedule off days so he’s not 100%...they’ll be having some important coaches meetings on whether to start Andersen or not. I wouldn’t be shocked. Really hope Campbell is good to go though.

Foligno in or not.
Sit Joe on this back to back?

Important to win this game/series by Thursday as Jets are just waiting now.

On one hand if it ain't broke don't fix it.

On the other hand, putting in some fresh legs could be beneficial for this group as well. The depth is there.

I'm really leery about putting Andersen in net. If they're not starting Campbell, I'd go with Rittich.

Let's go Andersen! We may need him and there will never be a better game to play him.

Hyman - Matthews - Marner
Galch - - Foligno - - Nylander
Engvall - Kerfoot - Mikheyev
Brooks - Spezza - Simmonds

This.

We know the first line works. And the third line works.

Gally has chemistry with Willy on the second line.

And lastly Brooks in for Jumbo on the 4th adds some speed and fresh legs.

Please sit Jumbo tonight and have Brooks draw in. Jumbo was running on steam late in the game last night and he's not going to be any fresher tonight rounding out the back-to-back. We also can't afford to have him on PP1 anymore; special teams killed the Leafs against Boston two years ago and it simply can't happen again.

Brooks and Spezza have great chemistry and Simmer has had a few shifts where he's looked like his younger self again. Thornton unfortunately just isn't keeping up, making bad turnovers, and even when he has a prime scoring chance (like last night alone in the slot) he isn't converting.

I love Jumbo but he needs to sit this one out. Rest his weary bones.
Draw Brooksie in and give Foligno another night to recover.

I would also like to see Dermott in, maybe sit Holl.

No chance. Momentum is huge in hockey. Andersen has a penchant for backbreaking goals.
Jack needs to prove he is a starter in the NHL. In the playoffs that means going even when not 100%.
We are clearly the better team, Id still play him.

Same. Freddy didn't get into enough games after the injury. That and I just don't trust him in big games

The people that are saying “start Fred” are the same ones who will be lambasting him if the Leafs lose this game.

Roll with Campbell.

Those people will never be happy with goaltending anyways. If they win with Freddy it's because the Habs suck, if they lose - Freddy sucks and they should have gone with Campbell. If they start Campbell and lose, they should have gone Freddy and given Campbell the rest. It's a forever moving target that you can't win.

I would say that unless Campbell wakes up and is injured, you start Campbell.

Dermott for Sandin makes sense. Sandin was starting to lose a bit of his PP time to Rielly late and it could be good to get him in unless someone is banged up.

Were watching a cold Price put on a show, let's not pretend lack of action is why Fred's a question right now.

I'm also on the side of Spezza for 2C, but I thought Kerfoot was solid there last night. I would rather we don't mix it up for the sake of mixing.

Slow hand clap for Campbell and the Leafs D. Playing great. Unfortunately far too many passengers within the forward group not named Mathews, Kerfoot, Nylander and Engvall. Thornton makes me long for the days of Gauthier on our 4th line and I was far from the president of his fan club. Pissed that the Nucks picked up Boyd. He was solid in that role.
