Really like these lines. Wish we had a better 3C than holmberg but Willy can do damage on his own. He’s a bit of a puck hog anyway. I like splitting up Marner and Matthews too. I’m tired of watching these guys get shut down in big games in the playoffs. It’ll be tougher to do with them split up creating two legitimate scoring lines.

I don't know if I expect one, but I sure as hell won't be surprised if it is one.

This would be a nice win; chance to sweep the season series and solidify 3rd place in the division.

Wouldn't mind seeing Matthews pot a couple and Marner look excitingly refreshed.

But does 3rd in the division matter? At worst they'll drop to WC1. So it's going to be one of Boston, Florida or the Rangers at this point. It'll be a tough matchup and without home ice no matter what at this point.

This is 100% correct. No rhyme or reason to a Leafs/Habs Saturday night game.

I don't remember the year but one of the best games I can recall was the Leafs beating the Habs 5-4 on the last game of the season to pull into a playoff spot.

Of course it was ruined the next day when NJ decided to sit Marty and NJ lost in a shootout, but WHAT A GAME

I recall going on a family vacation to Cuba when I was a kid and they had a channel that played the Stanley cup final in the room. That was over 25 years ago, but they might carry a channel that plays hockey considering how much tourism they get out of Canada

Guy does nothing but work and gets treated like absolute shit by Keefe.

It’s bad enough he’s lost so much development time due to injury. Now that he’s playing and starting to show some development and getting some points, first chance he’s sitting so that Knies keeps playing.

I’m a Knies guy and I’m excited at what his future brings but it’s obvious right now that a long full season has got him worn down and he needs to sit.

Anyone with half a brain sees that Knies should sit and Robertson is feeling it, but it’s Keefe and, well, you know……. Galaxy brain.

They cannot develop young players worth a damn and they are doing it to Robertson now.

Would love to see what this kid could be with a real coach. I think we will see it, but unfortunately it will be because he’s playing for another team.

Probably not but who knows - he did get the short end of the stick. It was his first year coaching I believe and took over for Eric Wellwood who was promoted to assistant coach with the Marlies (and had to leave the team earlier in the year due to medical issues).
