Need wise???

Philly has Giroux and Couts at C....and MDZ and Gudas as a top pairing. How is trading Provy better for their needs?

Gives you an heir behind Giroux for the 1C down the road, if you could bump Couts down to 3C that is incredible centre depth.

Even though your NHL roster may be hurting, the defenseman prospects you have is pretty much unrivalled league wide.

Giroux is signed for 6 more years....the Flyers have time to find a replacement.

Meanwhile on D, on the left side they have:

MDZ: UFA....top pair
AMac: sigh...
Schultz: UFA....sigh
Manning: expansion fodder...needs to play 14 games

Hmmm....what is a bigger need....adding a heir apparent and bumping Couts to line 3 or having a stud to play the left side to push all those guys into lesser roles.

Such a hard decision.

:shakehead

Plus....as we have seen, if the a Flyers D prospects do all work out, there will be no shortage of teams wanting good Dmen and willing to overpay for them.

Nylander is worth more than Provorov. Get lost.

Offering Sanheim must be trolling.

Comments like yours is what cause others to rag on Leafs fanbases and ruins posters with fair comments.

Provy is the best...or 2nd best D prospect in the world. Nylander is possibly a top 5...definately top 10 F prospect. Sanheim is arguably top 5....definitely top 10 D prospect. And Sanheim just posted the best PPG seen in the WHL in 20 years. He is becoming underrated due to Provy. But that's ok, once he plays well in the AHL this year there will be more believers.

This isn't going to happen but give me a break.
How do you know what either player is worth right now?
Both young guys at the start of their careers, one a center, one a D, both drafted roughly around the same place in their respective drafts.

It's one thing to want to keep your own player or positional player but seriously over the top people here.
If they both reach their projected potential 2 very good players.

one is a leaf prospect , the others not (doesn't matter which side you are on but this is what happens in a lot of leaf trade proposals)
