Jones played well, extra happy the Pens missed the open net to start the game so that he got the shutout.

Team D in general was good and the effort was nice too.

Kind of want to keep rolling the Knies/Domi/Marner line and give Matthews Nylander, then let Tavares roll with grinders who can score too.

Liljegren looked good coming back.

The hate towards Dubas reminds me of the hate for Tavares from NYI fans, and I am pretty sure I saw some of you calling those fans pathetic in another thread... it is weird to hate someone you haven't met before.

Just took a look at the Pens post game thread. They are NOT happy with Mr. Dubas. The honeymoon period did not last long in PA.

It's pretty warranted too. They have the cornerstones and decent goalies just had to surround his generational players with a decent supporting cast and they are competitive. He couldn't do it here and he has until the deadline before they could be calling for his head. With Crosby and Malkin's age they are very much in win now mode and Dubass can't fill out a roster properly. It's a travesty that Crosby and Malkin are going to go out like this if Dubas doesn't do some serious maneuvers.

What an odd remark. It's perfectly normal to dislike a person you haven't personally met.

Perfectly normal to 'dislike', but I don't like the word 'hate'.

It's similar to saying some posters 'worship' him rather than saying they 'like' him.

But I think either is misdirected. I don't dislike Dubas, but I dislike several of the things he has done.

They should be unhappy with the ownership group who insists on keeping the core intact, including Sullivan, for another couple of attempts at making the playoffs. Kyle knew what he was getting into though. It will be a rough ride for the next two years, then for several after that as the rebuild begins in earnest.

We've had some teams it's been hard to like over the years but not these lads

I've got nothing but respect for the depth guys on the defensive core, they work there guts out and what they lack in skill they make up with determination and fight

Same goes for the depth guys up front, no more waiting for the top 6 to do everything they can't wait to get in there and make the other teams life miserable

I'm happy with our big guys but they have been good for awhile now so you just expect it to happen for them

Jones was nice and solid, that's all I ask and he's delivering

I'm loving Knies, I think I'd try to bring Domi, Gregor, Benoit, Largesson and Bertuzzi back if possible as well

We didn't know who Easton Cowan was 9 months ago. This league is getting younger all the time and development and replenishment are so key.
