Robertson-Matthews-Nylander
Knies-Domi-Marner
Bertuzzi-Tavares-Jarnkrok
Gregor-Kampf-McMann

Give that a bit of run time. See what you have a bit longer with that Domi line and Tavares seems to thrive with grinders that play below the other teams goal line.

I agree. Ideally you have Matthews, Marner, Nylander on 3 separate lines, but otherwise this is as close as to what I would want to see.. Only real question mark there is Robertson. Sink or swim.

I don't trust Keefe though, I think Matthews and Marner will be reunited before we know it.

This is the only game this season when I thought all players wanted to play. Confidence was high, and we skated. We played in front of the puck, 13 odd man breaks, amazing.
Knies showed up for his team mate. We didn't look for that basketball offense nonsense.
This is how you beat teams that want to play a bang game like Fla. And Tampa.
Finally Robertson has 20 games, not injured, and is beginning to look like a guy who WILL , make a difference. He is learning how to play.

In the 3 games this season where he foesn't have a point, he has hit the post 3 times, and Bertuzzi hit it twice on Nylander feeds.

He is that close to having a point in every game this year

Surprised to look at the Penguins stats and see some very positive +/- and Sv% numbers. Based on their record and last night I thought they'd be awful.

I was out last night, tried watching when I got home, lasted about 5 minutes before passing out on the couch. Watching again now, 5-0 half way through the 2nd. Such a dominant game.

How much of a difference did Lily make to our break out last night. His breakout passes are the best on the team. Finally don’t have to depend on just Rielly getting the puck out of our zone. Although McCabe has really started to grow on me too lately. His passing has gotten much crisper.

Been yelling from rooftops for years now. You don't put your two best eggs in one basket and make it easier for opposition to defend you.

Marner MUST play away from Matthews and both of them will create a pain in the ass for opposition.

we have enough depth IMO our coaching staff needs to use it correctly

All 3 lines get about the same ice time on average in the long run. Whichever line is going on a given night gets most minutes that night. Bring in accountability and reward lines that put on a better show on a given night

I would love to see Knies-Domi-Marner get an extended run. If the Leafs could run Marner/Matthews/Nylander on 3 separate lines that would very balanced. Bertuzzi-Tavares-Nylander should be left together.

The 3 lines are consistently a threat to score. Opposition will cry every night defending that. One of the 3 lines will always get 3rd pair and they can feast on them.

Pens actually did that when they went on a run by having Crosby, Malkin and Kessel on 3 different lines

I thought as soon as he was moved to centre and paired with Robertson, he looked like an effective player. hes honestly been my favourite leaf player this season (and I was never a big fan of his dad).

even when he wasn’t getting the stats, he still looked dangerous, Especially his playmaking.

He’s looking like tre’s best roster move so far. I’m really happy for him.

Watching the highlights this morning, how filthy was Marner last night? His pass on Domi's goal and his own goal in tight were just special.

This is after his between the legs goal against Columbus. I like that it's expected from Mitch no one's even talking about it lol.
