If he sits tonight that's one thing but If he can physically go against Boston he needs to be in the lineup
I don't think he needs to be. If he can it's nice, but that game doesn't mean a whole lot in the grand scheme of everything

We need him 100% for the playoffs much more than ready for Saturday versus Boston. If he has any kind of discomfort you should continue to sit him and let him heal

Every player in the league has "discomfort" at this point that's not a reason to sit him

Not every team or player is in the position we are in. There's 40 games left and we're 90% sure who we're are playing in round 1

We should absolutely load manage our superstar to ensure he's as healthy as possible for game 1 of the playoffs. The rest of these games don't mean much, and we can still win without him

If we win tonight, odds of winning first in division moves up to 11.6%
That is how it's done. Load management is for soft basketball players

The second guy was being sarcastic FYI, you left out of some of his post. There's also a dude who wants Matthews to get hurt
All sorts of things were left out of that copypasta. Mainly the beginning of the post.

"I just had a cubicle thought (basically the same level of crazy as a shower thought)."

And in baseball them suckas play like 160 gezames per season. Thats some bullshit right thurr like chingy rapped back in his "prime".

He gives us good value on the defensive end of things and has been making good plays but his shot is a disaster right now. If shutting him down for a month was guaranteed to fix whatever is bothering him I’d do it without hesitation. Having his shot back to normal adds a completely different dimension to the team and opens up a lot of space for everyone else.

And it's also how the Raptors won the championship in 2019

Matthews has an injury which has impacted his greatest weapon, his shot. If you have the opportunity to rest him and have him as close to 100% as possible, you take it

I agree with that, not like hes in the scoring race or looking to break records this year. Our record is also surprisingly strong without him in the lineup, so rest him if he needs it

I'd rather have him healthy for the playoffs vs another Montreal series type of situation. Remember when Calgary hit him from behind that season, he hurt his wrist badly and didn't take time off to heal. We are a lock for the playoffs, i'd rather have healthy Matthews for the playoffs rather than risk it for some "meaningless" games, because that's what they essentially are. The first round is set, Toronto vs Tampa.

Shout out and a tip of my hat to Kampf for coming back last night after the hit !!
Toughness comes in many ways
He’s one tough hombre , mentally and physically!
Cheers to you warrior!

Some fans seem to think we can still catch Boston lol. It ain't happening.

Calling it now, Bruins are going to lose in the first round and Leafs will beat Tampa. Things will work out.

Boston peaking too early. No injuries, elite goaltending and PDO will normalize at the worst time
