Why does he need to be in the lineup vs. Boston?
I'm sure he could've physically gone last night, or tonight. Long term availability is more important.
I'd rather have him healthy for the playoffs vs another Montreal series type of situation. Remember when Calgary hit him from behind that season, he hurt his wrist badly and didn't take time off to heal. We are a lock for the playoffs, i'd rather have healthy Matthews for the playoffs rather than risk it for some "meaningless" games, because that's what they essentially are. The first round is set, Toronto vs Tampa.
