I'd keep Matthews out of this one tonight and maybe even Saturday's game. The Leafs are in a really good spot right now standings-wise and I'd rather let him get the full week off to get healthy.

Whatever is nagging him needs to be taken care of now rather than having it linger into March/April and hopefully beyond.

I am rooting for monster games from Bert and Chiarot both physically and productive. To the point where then Dubas starts panicking about the "playoff" makeup of the Leafs. Wouldn't it be fun to bundle off the both of them in exchange for like Nylander (they'd have to move significant salary) and whatever?

Nylander has been perfectly fine for them in the playoffs. But it would be just like that franchise to go braindead for a moment and do the Swede for two tough Canadians? Sign me up! Similar to Montreal and francophones.

I do not take that deal, Bert + Chiarot for Nylander. William Nylander has always seemed sort of weak and soft to me, and kind of meh in terms of production, even on a team that's loaded with talent. Take him off of a line with Auston F*cking Matthews and instead give him Copp and Rasmussen, and watch his numbers drop off the table.

And he's not a center -- we don't need another wing.

As one who rarely visits other team's boards, it reassuring to see that foolish posts happen in other places as well.

I sometimes do the next day just to see if there are any reasonable outside impressions of the Leafs.
That can be a rare find though.!

Wings rebuild is still going to take some time. They have some nice pieces, but nothing that I think will move the needle any time soon. They are better off embracing the tank again this year.

That Wings global mod has a serious problem lol. In general they're a pretty hateful bunch which I find funny cause I'm pretty sure most of us don't ever think about Detroit besides when we play them.
