Yup and we will needed 91 and 71 as well. Jets offense looks like the Gretzky Oilers compared to these Habs' offense.
ye but winnipegs defense is azz compared to mtls, and they arent nearly as physical. if hely doesnt go nuclear i think we match up better against them tbh.

So according to Hab fans we are not a playoff team and Campbell will get lit up by either Edmonton or Winnipeg?

Unrelated note but did Winnipeg rope-a-dope Edmonton?

He didn’t have a terrible game and contributed some good things tonight but as a general comment if he’s going to demand top 5 money in the game, it means he’s set the bar very high for himself each and every game.
I agree but we aren’t going to go on about this all 8 years of his contract are we?

Seems like sour grapes at this point but I get it

Hahaha, montreal fans really saying cauliflower didn't get enough minutes ansd that he was the reason for the good third period.
I get that he showing potential, but come on

There's no way Thorton plays on a back to back tomorrow, right? I do not want to see what a tired version of Thorton looks like.
You've been seeing a tired version of Thornton for the past 35 games, tomorrow will just be slightly worse than usual.

True but they also have a vezina trophy winner in goal. Would help if we can dust of the Scabs in 5.

Joe wasn't even resting during back-to-backs in the regular season, he is playing tomorrow. I hope I am wrong.
These are the playoffs. If I remember correctly, we had our best stretch of the season when Thornton was hurt early in the season. I'd like to see tomorrow if that can happen again.

How do we not deserve the win, what did montreal really do in the first 40 mins of the game. Price bailed them out and prevented a 4-1 lead heading into the third.

The team could have played the third better, but they weren't trying to play to score, more to limit montreal. Did it well last game and montreal was obivously gonna come hard and they played well.

Just like price keeping his team in, Cambell got us the win, well deversed.

Oh I totally agree lol, I'm not saying Montreal was the better team overall or deserved to win... I'm just looking at it from the perspective of our team (which should absolutely beat the Habs in decisive fashion). Fact is, that was an egregious period of hockey and we're gonna need to be a lot better if we want to go anywhere

Rewatched the third and while I didn't like our period, I think the 3 prime chances we got that didn't result in a SOG (Joe slapshot, Galch onetimer and Spezza flub) all hurt us. We could have and should have put the game away on at least one of them

Was hoping that Rielly goal would go to both his and Marner's legs, but didnt seem to. Rielly needs to use his speed defensively to force like he does offensive and Marner is just simply off.

Hoping we see Foligno tomorrow and wouldn't mind Brooks for Thornton (even just to rest) and Andy too.

Good first 20 mins, great second period from us and the last period was ugly. Not a fan of just trying to defend the lead by dumping the puck in and not forechecking, that almost bit us in the ass a couple times in the 3rd.

Kerfoot had a great game today, Marner was average/slightly good today , need him to pick it up and dominative the game. Did not like Jumbo Joe again tonight, hes not bringing anything to the game.. Can't forecheck, for the most part the puck dies on his stick. Lastly Willy Styles has been playing lights out so far, engaged and battling.

All in all, ill take the W any day of the week, heres hoping we can put them on the brink tomorrow night.

Games like this is why you need a competent goalie. Campbell had to really step up in that 3rd period and he was able to do it. Nice to see a goalie who can do that.

Price had to do the same in the first two periods to keep the Habs in the game.

Yeah, not to crap on Freddy...but he hasn't given us many performances like that in 5 years. Campbell is superb!
