I never said Hyman was RFA. is he UFA after this season? I thought we had 1 more year left for some reason. well I guess he cant be selected then. I just figure the guys I mentioned are the only players from our active roster with a contract next season aren't they? Im sure im missing someone.
if we were to protect Holl that would likely be our protection list though. rest would be available for selection
Another guy getting outta sports into more of a LIKE breakfast show ... he makes me LOL sometimes and really he knows what he is ... but he caught your attention and he succeeded ... that's what these guys are - they would say whatever they could to get your attention ... they have zero idea if any of it makes sense or not ... it is about getting you to tune in and LIKE him
Ya it's my understanding we would not need to protect Hyman unless we resigned him before the expansion draft. If Seattle were stupid enough to select a pending UFA, we could always resign Zach on July 1. (or whatever day free agency opens this year)

Let other teams think we're suckier than we are so we could beat them up when we play them. The Canucks must have thought the Leafs sucked before the 3 game sweep...

Sounds familiar to some people in our own threads, 8-1-1 in our last 10 and on a 4 game win streak, usually what happens here is the moment a win streak ends its "fire Keefe" or "Trade Andersen" "Andersen sucks" "Andersen is trash". Its a guarantee at this point.
He doesn't even really know soccer all that well either. He's got bad takes there too

Lol agreed but the minimal time he was in his own end he was giving the puck away or losing puck battles. Don’t get me wrong, I like Reilly, we need Reilly, but his defensive prowess leaves a lot to be desired. At this point, he’s not our best defenceman. He might be our 3rd best behind Brodie and Muzzin.
Rielly is what he is. Great skater and very talented offensively with only average defending capabilities.
As usual though, a lot of people are greatly exaggerating his defensive struggles.
One person in the other thread actually suggested we shouldn't even give him a 10% raise. If you can lock Rielly up for just 500k extra you unquestionably do it.
Rielly's value to this team extends well beyond even his on ice contributions which are clearly significant.

No, we have by far the easiest schedule because we don't have to face the Toronto Maple Leafs.
I was thinking that, it does kind of suck for the Habs and Jets, that they have to play the Leafs 10 times. haha

With no intra-divisional play, that doesn't matter much either. IMHO all that matters is who beats who in the playoffs so we'll see.

For sure but I get where zeke is coming from.
Our competition is clearly Boston and Tampa. Until we have higher pts% many fans won't truly appreciate especially since we play in the North division.

Oh I agree with Zeke that PTS% is a better way of looking at the standings then just points. I just think that with the division being what they are, all league wide comparisons aren't worth as much as they usually are.

Could be an interesting playoff with the format this year for sure. NOT to get too far ahead, but if the Leafs could manage to take the first 2 series and get out of their division (I know let`s make the payoffs first, win a round FIRST, then go from there ), the final 4 are re-seeded. So it is entirely possible that, if the moons line up and we made it to the semis or final, we could even face a Boston or Tampa or Pittsburgh or Washington in either. Might be an interesting final 4, and final 2., whoever gets there.
