No need to flex. I’m not one of those posters who claim my team is very best and that all other teams suck. I always said on main boards that both the Habs and the Leafs are likely ahead of the pack - and I stand by what I said. Leafs are always a tough match up for the Habs. Besides, I was only replying to a post I felt I could perhaps provide some insight.

I was being sincere with my question, I thought the Habs based on the way they played us in the first game, would get better as the season went on and would run away with the division, the team we played last night is nothing like the team we played in the first game. I didn't see the team quickness that was there in the 1st game, nor did I see the playmaking that was there in the first game.

Habs fan coming in peace: we have 10.5 million reasons to dump it on Price. Especially this season, he’s been very inconsistent, average (or even below average) all around. Obviously, it’s not all his fault (you can’t win games by only scoring 1-2 goals).

Leafs had a higher expected goals for in this game, and scored one more against the goalie. I wouldn’t blame the goalie on this game. The Habs are a very good team, and it will be a dogfight this season, with you guys winning a bunch against us. But, with the rivalry, a loss against each other feels extra bad, and emotional response happen. No matter the final results, this is going to be a fun and even more emotional season than normal.

I’ll take the win but I didn’t love some of the classic Leafs bad habits that were peeking through.

Keefe needs to drill it in them to start on time and to not let up the pressure when closing out the game. Get them playoff ready by making it part of their identity

My apologies - I wasn’t sure!

I feel like ever since we lost our first game to Ottawa, our coach has been all over the place doing “Claude Julien” things that in the end never seem to work out (change the gameplay, dump and chase - focus on turnovers, defensive-minded, weird line changes, etc). I mean that’s my interpretation. You need to keep in mind that the Habs also don’t have any top end talent. Our “top end talent” is pretty much 30+ year old Price and Weber who are severely underperforming this year. We rely on rolling 4 lines, but I guess after that Ottawa loss, the team got deflated and fast.

I look forward to some fun games between our teams - and hopefully we meet in the playoffs!

You guys are looking really good btw! Much luck to you guys!

Mik man he can fly.
I hope that goal gives him confidence .
I wish sometimes like last night with or player coming up behind him instead of shooting for the corner and missing. Take a shot at his pads then the other player can jam the net .

I love the Keefe-Leafs.
I love that even when down after a few minutes still fought back and WON!!!
Such a nice change after babcock.

I am sure all of us saw the dirty play and subsequent removal of JT from the game for a short period. Seriously I thought we were cooked after that. Boys responded and JT came back and had a hell of a game.

Looking for a clip but can’t find it on YouTube and not on Twitter so feel free to post but how did nothing get called on this play?

It’s like the Zebra don’t have a whistle when it comes to the team playing against the TML. I know I have brought this up before but what is it seriously gonna take before a member of the brass says something. This should be brought up to the league office.

I know that if one of our D did that to Suzuki or JK the Habs faithful would have been crying bloody murder!

That's honestly a tough call for the ref as it happened so quickly. But yes, it was a dirty play by a dirty player. Weber has always been a piece of shit.

Vesey actually played the fewest minutes out of any forward in this one. Could be the next guy to take a seat. If I'm Engvall I start scoring right now.

Vesey's overall game has been much better than he is given credit for... but, he needs to be doing more offensively, than he has, that much is for sure. He's been given chances on good lines, and hasn't produced. He's been demoted, and hasn't produced. He's playing himself out of the NHL.

It seemed to fire JT up so it worked out but that could have been a lot worse, Weber is good at getting away with that kind of stuff.

I loved that Pierre was throwing his big body around last night but where is that break away speed he showed last year. maybe I'm dreaming but I thought he had really good break away skating. He also has a NHL shot but it's non existent this year.

Is it just me or was Engvall notably physical last night? I noticed a couple pretty good hits.

With his speed if he plays with some edge and even if the scoring doesn't come he can really make an impact.

What did they do in the offseason to improve because they sucked last year. Bottom dwellers...

I would say that they didnt let a very bad start get to them. They clawed back and won. They held the lead

In the past that games goes one of two ways - 1-0 90 seconds in becomes a rout in short order and we then give up and lose

- the 3-1 lead evaporates and we lose 4-3 on OT
