Pretty meh about the team, it’s make up, and the coaching
Haven't been impressed, 5-3-1 through October, but team doesn't seem to have any cohesion together right now, play making and passing and defending have been off. Our new additions haven't looked good at all, Domi doesn't look like he can play our style, Bert isn't that type of player either and Reaves has been useless whenever he's on the ice.

On the other side, Toronto has managed to pick up 11 points while our top 2 players in Marner and Matthews have been sleep walking and a majority of the forwards have looked pedestrian (that's saying it nicely). And I doubt it stays like that for the entire year.

LOL this is a joke right? I wouldn't expect you to watch LA games but this is hilarious

Durzi single handedly lost us games against the Oilers in both series

Great offensively, mediocre defensively

a healthy Trevor Moore has 5 goals in 8 games, is red hot, and showing no signs of slowing down. Was fighting injuries all of last season

no I don't i was just being cheeky

Go back to you're board no one cares about LA here.

Woke up 7:15 to put this one on.

Kings score first at about 7:20, ‘Okay.’

Kings score again at about 7:35, ‘Back to bed.’

This isn't a coaching issue. The additions just haven't worked and thats on the GM for bringing them in. Keefe also has limited options on the PK. Another coach isn't going to make Reaves into an NHL player
Another coach would bench him so he isn't hurting the team. Coach, GM and Shanny are all at fault.

I think this sums it up well.

"If our core 4 doesn't dominate and score, our bottom six forwards are NOT GOOD ENOUGH because we lack the cap room to hire better players....Our D-group is not nearly good enough either."

I have low expectations for this season. Life is easier that way.

How do we have no money left for better players when we go and sign the most expensive LW in UFA, another middle 6 winger for 3mil, and then overpay for “premium” 4th liners in and Kampf and Reaves? The teams that win cups are spending equal to or less than us on their bottom 6s, they just scout better and get bang for their buck.

Vegas’ most expensive bottom 6 player makes 500k less than Kampf lol.

remember, O'Reilly who is a heart-and-soul grinder, who would have easily stayed with the team if he liked what he saw here, chose to leave.

That was a huge red flag at the time, but we forgot about that

His reasons for leaving are becoming very clear now

If I so much as like a post on another team's board I get banned, this guy's out here full on trolling lol 😆

I don't think so. I think you are going to see a pretty impressive game from the Leafs. I think they were probably looking past LA tonight. While that isn't great by any measure, I think you will see a very different Leafs team on Thursday.

This here.
I have a feeling the Leafs will beat the Bruins. Or at the very least look very good (relative to how they've mostly been this season) in losing.

Pretty damn sure. It's about as Toronto as it gets to walk into Boston and beat an undefeated (in regulation) team after laying a stinker a couple of nights earlier. It is exactly the kind of thing the Leafs do. This group has a tendency to bounce back really well from poor games.
Perhaps you've forgotten that they do all kinds of other things as well.

They haven't really looked very good very often this season so I could see that happening. Play one of their best games of the season, and lose 4-2. seems reasonable.

What was the reasons? I only see:
1. Outa the limelight
2. Cool city
3. Cozy job

Preds are bad and will finish out of the playoffs - I don’t think there’s red flags on the Leafs any more than on ROR himself, as he clearly wanted nothing to do with winning.

KEEFE and the front office of Dubas at the time for sure

Well that one sucked. At no point were the Leafs in any danger of winning that game. Can handle writing that one off, so be it. Losing a game is ok, it's a gonna happen. Stinking up the joint? You get to have 4 or 5 of those a year, that's one.

Lay a stinker against Boston next game and thats another story, no excuse to not be guns blazing for it. I mean, they can lose 4-3 having battled their heart out, and you live with that too, but an effort like tonight twice in a row, against the Bruins, that isn't ok.

<guest comes in peace >

Sean Durzi has 4 goals, is ppg, is +7 is also red hot; 3+3=6 +7 in his last 5 games..
for Arizona Coyotes...

Toronto's biggest mistake was, been Sean Durzi.
D-men take time to develop, Durzi is finally ready package
and them Yotes are thanking both the Leafs & Kings

not mediocre anymore and has amped his offensive

I'm not someone who panics given it is a long season but there are lots of good trade options if the Leafs do by chance fall out of the playoff race early. Samsonov, Bertuzzi, Domi, Klingberg etc.

Matthews has 14 S.O.G in his last 5 games, that is not good enough. That line looks lost specifically Marner, and Jarnkrok at best is a 3rd liner and is playing way to far up the lineup if this team is to be successful.
