The Leafs should be embarassed. Thoroughly outworked all night.

All of the new additions have been non-factors at best, and complete tire fires (Klingberg) at worst.

Marner better wake up in November, because he has been awful.

Redeem yourselves next game.

This is my biggest problem with this team

Winning and Losing is part of the game sometimes it doesn't go your way. This team never outworks opposition. It hardly happens. They never start on time either.

Its like they are playing in beer league and are not professionals making millions.

It pisses me off

Matthews has been pretty shit since game 2

6 in 2 —> 10 in 9
4 in past 7 seems playoffs have come early

Marner playing in a way where I wouldn’t even want to sign him

Nylander probably had his worst game, Tavares had the goal but was pretty awful too

Woll had a meh game, should’ve stopped one of the 4 but this is his second loss and both times we scored 1 goal

Matthews seems to be settling into his 2022-23 pattern of brief flashes of brilliance, doing a lot of good little things that don't really build momentum to a consistent breakthrough and then fizzles out into a lot of average playing He's looking off shots, timing looks off, the skating and power is there sometimes and then its energy saver mode at other times.

For doing... anything? If everyone on the team cared he wouldn't have had to do what he did.

He did it when the game was over... he showed nothing before.

Domi took a dumb penalty earlier doing something like this but when it’s 4-1 and the Leafs looked as listless as they did I don’t mind this. At least someone showed a pulse.

It'd be nice if he showed a pulse before minute 58.

This era of the Leafs aren't really built to outwork anybody though. The project has always been about outskilling the opposition, overwhelm with talent and just take away their appetite to compete on any given night. That's why decisive wins feel like parties and loses feel like they got an F on an exam.

Coaching... I'm leaning more towards that more and more.

Look at our breakouts vs LA
Reminds me of Florida last year.

They are throwing coordinated lines, and we are still just winging it.

Marner is in a rut also
Road trip excuse is only good for so long...

The constant experimenting doesn't work. At some point Keefe needs to stop looking for that random magical combination out of all the blendering and just build some stable line combinations and pairing, give these guys consistent marching orders, metrics and have some stability and cohesion. Even he's got to see that the common thread of all this mad scientist stuff is everything gets scrapped after 1 day, 1 shift, 1 game.
