At this point get rid of Shanahan also. Fire all management and build from scratch.
Shanny stays.

Lou and Dubas team were a fail. Yes you heard me. Team. Lou validated this mess before he left. He was the mentor and adviser. When Dubas was being poached by the Avs, Lou shut that down. His assistant was going no where.

I trust Shanahan to assemble another good team for his second try. This was a fail but it was still a very solid effort. We were contenders for 4 years in a row.

We were a contender this year but that's slowly slipping away. I don't think we scare anyone at the moment.

Don't scapegoat Shanny. He's only 52 he has more to give and is hungry for a cup here.

lol... how can you have that much money and cap space invested in forwards and not be able to score even two goals per game on average? They're facing the worst team in the League and a terrible defensive team and still can't score.

Not to spoil the result. But when have Dubas and Keefe ever avoided a humiliating loss. They've been here 2 years and already have multiple contenders for most embarrassing loss in the team's 100 year history.

The thing is, I dont really fault him. Most of management was building a pretty good team until the last few years when we decided not to get a proper goalie or defence ever.

The problem is a HUUUUUUUUUUGE chunk of our cap is tied up in one player, who isn't doing a single thing, and has been a black hole on the team for years now.
Yeah, I know. But Shanny made a mistake to let Lou go. We wouldn't have been in such cap hell with him. That was the first mistake ... and then mistake after mistake followed.

When do we get to the point where we have a fight in practice?

Think someone needs to kick Marner's ass in practice.

Blues had Bortuzzo and Sanford drop the gloves to wake the team up and get things back on track. Worked better than either would have expected with them getting that Shiny Metal Cup at the end of the year

Are you saying this ironically, or do you actually believe that Shanahan should be held unaccountable for his GM hires?

Shanahan shut it down which was the writing on the wall for Lou, iirc.

The team is afraid to look in the mirror. After every loss, it’s a happy-go-lucky, almost festive (considering the circumstances) mood in the locker room. Guys are saying that’s like we need to keep positive. They talk the talk all the time…

How Keefe can honestly say that he sees positives in the process after losing 4-1, coming off a humiliating 7-1 defeat to an AHL team is all you need to know. They should have been called out and bag-skated with the big guys being benched or moved down the lineup for awful efforts.

The players and organization reflect what we call a fixed mindset rather than a growth mindset.
What a completely pathetic & effort in a must win game against an organization that is in complete shambles.

I hope they make me eat my words…but not counting on it.

Another night, another weak goal.

Hey guys Frederik Andersen is 5-0 with a .946 on Carolina. Do you think we can trade for him?

Freddie Andersen would have only made sense if we had been able to make an 18 for 18 player trade with Carolina.
