Jarnkrok - Matthews - Nylander
Bunting - Tavares - Marner
Knies - O'Reilly - Kerfoot

That's the top 9 I'm hoping for Game 1. If Knies doesn't show enough Acciari moves up. I really think that top 6 is the best way to go if they want a balanced attack.
Yeah I could live with that

ZAR Kampf Acciari would be an awesome 4th line too.

Max points tampa can get is 106. so get 106 or 107 and we clinch
Leafs would need 107 if Tampa gets 106. Tie would go to Tampa unless they happen to win 3 of them in overtime which is highly unlikely. First tie breaker is RW and Tampa would have more.

Bunting. Matthews. Marner
Jarnkrok. Tavares. Nylander
Kerfoot. O’Rielly. Acciari
ZAR. Kampf. Lafferty

This is what got you here. This is what produced a Hart trophy and over 60 goals, this is what you roll with. Let ROR Have some PP time and he’ll produce while shutting down things as well.

If Tampa runs the table it’s 8 in a row.

If Tampa goes 8-0, I feel like standard deviations would kick in for the post season and the leafs win in 5

How is it that a world class coach, who will one day be thought of right up there with the greats, still doesn't have a set line up after 77 games?

It’s straight out of American military doctrine, if we don’t know what we’re doing neither does our opponent. Cooper is sweating right now and throwing out his match up plan every game. His trash can is full of crumpled papers titled “11F 7D?” and “how to shut down 1LW Kerfoot”.

Are the real world class coaches announcing a "set lineup" by game 77 and refusing to ever deviate from it regardless of situation or injuries? I've never heard of that but I'll take your word for it, as this would be pretty nonsensical otherwise

McCabe and Brodie look so good together too. We need to clone Brodie lol.
I was looking at some numbers, and since the TDL the McCabe - Brodie pair has the following rankings league-wide:
4th lowest xGA/60
8th best xGF%
10th best HDCF%

Imo it matches the eye test pretty well. They're elite together and should never be split up

interestingly, the pair with the worst xGA/60 is TVR - Sandin. Ceci-Nurse are also up there as one of the worst which is a huge surprise!

I don’t know what Keefe saw from those top two lines last night that makes him want to stick with them.

Looks like Keefe is applying his own internal checking line on Mathews. Hate those lines. So who exactly is setting Mathews up for a shot, and who exactly does the opposition have to worry about outside of Mathews on that line? Might as well triple team him.

Probably because the ROR injury, as well as the injury to Accari, plus the fact that they are choosing to rest people, and the inevitable addition of Knies makes it hard to play your starting 18 for the playoffs.

Now with ROR back I think it will settle in for 1st game lines twice, and then a hodge podge mess while guys sit out

Matthews will be head to head vs. Boston's top line.

Yep. But Keefe seems loathe to keep Nylander and Matthews together for an extended time. He doesn't like it in his head, so reality be damned. He'll sooner run Nylander on the 3rd line again.

He's going to cost us another year of playoff success. It's not even that I want a different coach because there's an immediately better one available. I just want a coach that knows when to stay the hell away from tinkering.

Play our full playoff roster especially if ROR is back in. Last measuring stick game of the season. Every game here on our rest 2-3 big boys if possible

umm...

Leafs play tampa, florida and nyr to close out the season ;)

Literally absolutely SICK of Tavares coddling by Keefe. ENOUGH already!

I understand lines like that against Tampa, force them to pick who gets to feast on their non-Hedman pairing, but even if Boston takes the bait and puts their first pair on the Marner line, they still have one of Orlov/McAvoy for Matthews. I don’t know if the O’Rielly line does enough damage to the leftovers.

He thinks that mixing up the lines constitutes making "adjustments".

Looks like we need some power plays to win this one.
(won't happen).

Lightning lost to the Rangers Wednesday night. Leafs are now 6 points ahead with a game in hand. Lightning play the Islanders while the Leafs play the Bruins on Thursday. Leafs could clinch home ice on with any combination of Leafs win and Lightning loss totaling three points.

Watched that game tonight. Vasy was unimpressive to say the least. Pretty sure he let in 6 on 36 shots.

All of the people complaining about line juggling.. I get it but also every player on the roster has played with basically every other player. It means game conditions, injuries, etc he can change things at will and there should be some chemistry there already.

We have 9dmen who can suit up and are comfortable with basically any other player. Matthews, Marner, Nylander, and Tavares have played with each other all year swapping wingers around. JT has played C and W.

The roster is very flexible going into a cup run
I would feel better with that train of thought but since the trade-deadline and the tinkering the Leafs record is just about .500 they lose almost every second game.
so while they have been flexbile they have not been overly successful
