What a waste of time……Dubas and Shanny can’t be fired soon enough.
Free agent day for the Leafs this year has to be the laughing stock of the league

Hoping he returns as an improved player. Have to imagine that an opportunity will be there for the taking.

Like how pathetic is it that this GM wasted time entertaining this signing on free agency day

He thinks he sees something in this player like he found a hidden gem it's actually beyond pathetic I can't even let it go

Oh and the guy we had that he originally trades for this bum just signed a 4 year 4.5M AV contract. Has this hidden gem Malgin even made 4.5 in his entire pathetic career

Have faith the GM has found us one heck of a gem

Love the strategy, personally. Bunting and Kampf are the reasons why.
But there were 20 something that failed. So we go for volume instead of quality. Now, after this season we're likely to lose Bunting. So we're down to one. It's a crazy way to go about things.

Also, for some of the ones that don't pan out, we actually have to lose assets to go back to square one. Such a strange plan.

Reading between the lines, the Malgin & Gaudette moves really indicate to me that they have very little faith in having any help pushing from the Marlies to the big club in camp.

If you're someone who sees this - thinks it's bad and spends time complaining about it, you need to go out and touch grass, maybe take a nap, or eat something.

If hes developed more and shows well at camp/somehow finds a fit on a line he will likely he in the lineup and be useful depth. If he isnt hes AHL bound with no cap hit.

Literally zero downside. Chill out.

Who do you have faith in? Robertson maybe on the 4th line... Anderson maybe on the 4th line... that's about it.

I have faith in none of them. I'm no pro scout, and there's posters here who watched the Marlies far more than I did.

But when I did watch them, rarely did any of them look like they belonged in the NHL or that they could be knocking on the NHL door in a few months time.

Robertson at least looks like he has the tools, but didn't look like he belonged during his brief NHL cameo last year.

Those Lou/Hunter drafts + this regime trading away so many picks, is really hurting them now.

A closer look shows less depth on the R side for competition, where both these guys play.
I’m more confident about mixing and matching than you might be. But there’s 5 Marlies pushing for a couple jobs before these two - and then any more adds - which should improve the competition.
